The wording of this statement, implies that the captain can't control the ship, and then move, but it does suggest that he can move first and then control the ship as long as he ends up at the bridge.

Oh, and another question. If a single action does more damage than a shield can take, will it absorb the worst damage first. (Ie, if it can prevent something from being critically damaged, or it can prevent something from being lightly damaged, it will prefer to absorb critical damage over the light damage.)

The captain can do anything he wants on the ship as long as he stays in the bridge after he controls the ship or uses captain cards.

Damage isn't in chunks like "critical damage" or "light damage." Together that's just 4 damage. It will absorb the first 3 points of damage and the last point will go to where it was supposed to.

Whichever damage is done first in the turn is first. If you fire a missile and then shoot your lasers the missile is first. It's chronological.

Yes but said missile does between 4 to 7 damage to different ship sections.
