Well most non-mythos cults I can think of are of the Jonestown/Heaven's Gate persuasion, which might be interesting to play but probably not.  Like I said, "friendly" Western stereotypes or mutations thereof can be fun and interesting.  An Indian shaman's former apprentice, a proselyte of some warped backwoods offshoot of Christianity, these could all be good ways to take it.

I would be interested in this if you don't mind and the times suite the GMT timezone. Thinking of playing someone involved in the 1953-4 Republic of Sonora ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Sonora ) , and is now making his way back east, due to his various failures out west.

Some of those could work. I'd probably pick the former apprentice of an Indian Shaman, or something. Gives me a tad more freedom.
I'm in GMT+0, by the way.

I'm GMT-5 but we can probably make a game work with GMT players.

When do you have the free time to do this? I'll check if I'm able to do this at those times.

I can really play any time other people are available, at least for the next month or so which should be more than enough time to finish the game.

I completely redid the OP to hopefully be less vague about what this is.

Bimp.  We've got three character ideas and a couple other posts of interest, with no times.  NOt too bad but we'll see if we can't get some more interest.  If things don't pan out I'll put the game on hold and we can  try again another time.

I'd be able to do this at around... 7:00 PM? So for you, it would be around 2:00 PM.
Also, what would be the appropriate skills for an Indian Shaman/Shaman Apprentice? That's one of the reasons I haven't been able to do my sheet.

Barring any unforeseen duties, I should be able to arrive whenever you can.

7 PM GMT is good for me too, depending on the dates of course. Have held off on character generation to hear what you're changing.

Scratch that, I'm available from 4PM to somewhere around 7PM, maybe later.

Nothing major is changing about the game.  I've updated the OP but there's not really anything different about the setup.

Working on it.

The supplement I'm using for western stuff suggests forage, insight, occult, natural history, listen, pharmacy, persuade, spot hidden.

A couple of those are from the supplement but they're mostly self-explanatory.  Insight replaces psychology.  Other options could include legends and lore which covers the, well, legends and lore of the area.  I'm uploading the supplement (it's a magazine article) for you guys to check the details of skills and professions and stuff.  Some of it's not really appropriate, it's geared more towards a cinematic spaghetti western aesthetic.

What'll the rolling systems be, then? As I recall, Call of Cthulhu randomly determines your life situation by default.
