Talk to the elf, inform him that we accidentally did this and have no idea how to reverse it.

((Didn't you already tell him that you did it on purpose, because you would have been attacked otherwise?))

We might have to get rid of that elf, it's being very annoying right now.
"I... I think so, what are we doing here ag-again?"
while we say that, attempt to get the silence the elf voice, try not to kill it, but do so if we need to.

"We were searching for the Orb of Darkness. This was a quest given to us by the King!"
The man is shaking you slightly less frantically.
Meanwhile, you mentally block all attempts from the elf to take his body back.

"Okay, okay, it's coming back to me, you can stop shaking me now, friend.  Just...just give me a minute."

Forcibly extract all of the elf's memories.

I probably should have thought of this earlier.

((I'm currently in a bit of a dilemma, since I have to decide whether simple Possession would allow that.))

((If not, we'll just blackmail the elf into complying by threatening to jam his sword through his own body, or something like that.))

"Right, right."
The man stops shaking you, seemingly reassured.
Meanwhile, you attempt to forcibly extract all of the elf's memories (4) and succeed. Whoopty doo. Anyway, you and this man (who's name is Tarnoth) were given a quest by the king Harold the III, to find the Orb of Darkness for some reason or other. He didn't actually tell you what he was going to do with it. Also, the elf is a gibbering mess now.
What do you do?

"I'm sorry Tarnoth, I'm fine.  Let's just go."

Proceed with Tarnoth, we may need him later.

If Tarnoth proves to be the superior host, we'll just skip to him.  Wimir the elf is really in no state to defend himself from an axe to the face, he'll be easier to dispose of.

"That's good. Wouldn't want a repeat of The Incident."
You vaguely recall the incident being the two of you bein possessed by Demon Gods and going on a killing spree. Somehow, it happened on enemy land, so you were declared national heroes. Huh.
-Half an hour later-
"What's with you, Wimir? You're usually never this quiet."
What do you do?
