It shudders, most of its legs splitting and snapping, as they are reabsorbed into the mass, a chitinous growth begins to envelop the creature, shielding from the elements. The cold slowly continues to seep through although it soon stops as fur begins to sprout across the chitinous growth. It curls its remaining legs against its mass.

((New stat: Energy. This is raised by consuming biomass, it's a 10 to 1 ratio, so 1 biomass makes 10 energy. You get a free 50 energy cause I forgot to put this in earlier. Being in cold areas lowers energy, being in hot areas with the right mutations raises energy. When you reach 0 energy then odds are is you have been frozen and entered hibernation, that or you just did a rather large set of mutations and you need to rest for a bit and burn more energy. Minor shifts cost 5 energy, major shifts cost 10+ energy. You are insulated so you won't die when you freeze, you have 5 or less turns to sort out what mutations you want upon being awoken by humans. The caterpillar legs were redundant so they were absorbed as part of the mutation of the exoskeleton. I would like to remind you all that you lack any sort of sensory system right now.))
