Fight defensively as long as the virtuous fighter focuses on me, but if he switches targets then get very aggressive. stay on the opposite side of him from my ally so he has no choice but to turn his back to one of us.

Black Velvet will deliver Death's Door to the Overlord in exchange for the promise of magical goods
Retreat all forces to the defensive fortress
Move to Cura maintaining the same disguise. Inquire if there is a source of Chotton.

Also Humaan, levelups?

I'm keeping 0/2 in reserve for emergency defense. I can promise you some after getting the magical garden set-up, but I don't know what the exchange rate of material:magical goods will be.

While you have left combat, it hasn't ended just yet. You still will get your level up, don't worry.

Turn 22: Level Up

Quote
(5) It turns out, Black Velvet already had some in their possession, making retrieval incredibly easy. The question is, what will you do with the extremely dangerous herb?
((Show my troops where it is and I'll set-back some debt and collect it later.))

The ice imps will break the enemy defenses.
Chad is to lead the forces sent with him in preventing anyone else from escaping alive.
I will engage in magical slaughter.

My kobold band unit breaks off and meets with Garland's forces to get the herb location.

Unlucky Roll: (4)
(3 vs. 6) The ice imps continue to do absolutely nothing useful with their ice magic.

(5+1 vs. 2)(4 vs. 2) You, on the other hand, are much more competant, and actually do some damage with your magic. (7FHP-2= 5FHP)

(6 vs. 2) (6 vs. 1) In one last desperate charge, the men of the enemy army clash... and promptly fall dead of the bombardment they had been suffering. (5FHP -5= 0FHP)

Send my Elite Mooks off to recapture the prisoner, also warn my Small Undead Army guarding the Overlord's village that she might try hiding there.
Mental Instability Roll: (2)

(4) You send your Elite Mooks onto hot pursuit of the escaped prisoner, but they will still have to keep up. You also warn your undead against her hiding in the town, though they might not be the best person to keep an eye on them...

Fly to the Overlord's Multiracial town, commence attack.
(3) You fly towards the Overlords's town. While you will make it, the attack will be slightly delayed.

Fight defensively as long as the virtuous fighter focuses on me, but if he switches targets then get very aggressive. stay on the opposite side of him from my ally so he has no choice but to turn his back to one of us.
Keep attacking the virtuous fighter.
Impish Roll: (4)

(4-1 vs. 3+1) (Enemy Damage: 5 vs. 1) (4d6: 6+3+6+1=16 HP) The virtuous fighter continues to attack who he was attacking before. This time, he didn't miss, and the cut did quite a bit more damage.

(4 vs. 3) (Damage: 1 vs. 4) Masasit attacks while this is all happening, but the fighter blocks the attack before it can hit him, allowing him to absorb the blow.

Black Velvet will deliver Death's Door to the Overlord in exchange for the promise of magical goods
Retreat all forces to the defensive fortress
Move to Cura maintaining the same disguise. Inquire if there is a source of Chotton.
Black Velvet meets with some of the Overlord's troops and delivers the herb to them.

(6) You proceed to head to Cura also trying to look for Chotton. Luckily for you, some people know where it is. Bad news is, supposedly a mighty monster has been sighted in the area, and seems to be guarding it.

Level Up!

Hanz-hanz, Garland, and Chad Wattler are now officially level 2.
You all get 4 points to spend.

((the fighter isn't taking any penalties at all for fighting enemies on opposite sides of him? he literally cannot be facing both of us at once.))
Back off a couple steps and attempt to cast light bolts at the fighter. If he stays focused on me then just stay on the defensive and hold his attention so my ally can strike him down.

Back off a couple steps and attempt to cast light bolts at the fighter. If he stays focused on me abandon that and just go all out attempting to pin him, cripple him, maim him, disable him however I can so my ally can strike him down from behind.

((the fighter isn't taking any penalties at all for fighting enemies on opposite sides of him? he literally cannot be facing both of us at once.))
Its a bit more complicated then that. While you do surround him, you are only two people. While that is an issue if you both actively attack him, fighting more defensively means you are not pushing him where he has to focus on two attackers.

Now, before you wonder what the point of fighting defensively, it HAS been drawing attention away from your ally. It also normally would also boost your roll, but the virtuous fighter has a rather annoying perk which is hidden from view, as unlike the undead hunter's trait, it isn't as obvious. It can be exploited, however, if you can figure it out.

Just waiting on Blitz.

While I have an Idea on what he would do, I think it would be better to let him say it.
