:Alright!

Harold turned to the other people in the tables.

:Elliote right? Couldn't help but overhear that thing about treasure. I'm Harold Coronas, adventurer extraordinaire, and this is my brother Harlan. We'll be joining if you're going on a lootin' spree.

"I-I'd like to c-come too, if I m-may."

Atrisse spoke again, ahving been goaded into it by Cecilia and Juna. The money would be useful, after all, and they might find something to help them...help them all...

: "Please excuse my younger brother. He gets awfully excited about these sorts of things." Harlan sat down, on the opposite side of the table from the rather large blonde man. "What sort of expedition are you planning, exactly?"

Moments more pass, and the sounds of a fistfight came from the side room. After a good minute, the portly man walks out, dragging a thin man with him by the collar. Lifting him up, the portly man tosses him directly at the wall, and the thin man slumps down, too tired to get up.
"Cleared up, boss."

The innkeep nodded and looked towards the cloaked man. The cloaked man nodded back, and moved to the crier near the entrance. Getting his attention, the crier crouched down to listen, and after a few words and a coin pushed into his hand, the crier stood again.
"Mercenaries needed over in the dining hall for a trip to the center of the desert! To At-Ilm!"

The rest of the inn fell silent, a couple whispers sounded, and a couple more brave souls voiced their curiosity.
"Who the hell'd want to go there?" One sounded
"Friggin nuts, all bets they die a husk before the second day." Another grumbled, returning to his drink
"Oh, I'll bet they keel over before the first!" A third yelled
"Forget those lunatics, go back to that serial killer in Vilholt. I've got a wife and kids there!" A fourth called out, and before they knew it the crier was at it again, and the din returned.

: "..." The cloaked man massaged his temples, and walked quietly into the side dining hall.

Atrisse hesitated for a minute, then stood, and walked towards the dining room. She didn't seem fit for any sort of travel or hardship, but that was almost all in the demeanour; physically. She was tough enough, she just seemed...tired. Very tired.

"Well, those gentlemen don't seem to be trying to inspire confidence." Kain stood from the table, and pulled his sword which had been resting against the table up onto his back. "Well Elliote? Sounds like this is just what you were looking for." With an easy smile on his face, Kain went into the Dining Hall.

:Is that for us? It definitely sounds interesting. Let's go, Harlan.

Harold prompted Harlan to get up and went to the side room.

: "It's a perfect coincidence. Al-right!"

Elliotte walked over to the side of the room, motioning the others to follow.

: "We're mercs, and we were headed to At-Ilm as well. Might as well join up, right?"

For a moment Harlan was tempted to give Harold the slip. Then he sighed and followed along into the side dining room.

: "This better be good. There's no point in going to those ruins unless there is some slim margin of success."

Inside the dining room, a large table spanned from one of the room to the other, leaving little space for any sort of maneuvering. The cloaked man was standing at the other end, examining a broken chair and some damage on the table itself. When he heard footsteps from those entering, he turned to face them.

: "...Well, glad to see at least some people are interested." The cloaked man pulled an intact chair from under the table and sat, "Take a seat. Or not, if you all prefer."

Harlan sat down in the most unobtrusive place he could find. He coughed into a handkerchief a few times, then listened silently.

Atrisse curtseyed nervously as well and as quickly as she could, before taking a seat and remaining quiet. She didn't like speaking very much; the Others never agreed on what to say, and there were few people she dould trust. And she didn't want to let one of the braver Others take over...

Kain chose to seat himself again, setting his sword against the table as he'd done previously.
