:Excuse me, are you guys with him?

"I'm in. Otherwise ya folks gonna bonk your heads against first guy in armor or door. 's best to deal with those with an axe!" He finished his meal with a burp

"I expect equal share of the loot, though, or I will chop ya as well."

[Sirus]

A young man entered and looked around. His sight stopped on the most corpse-looking guy in there, just barely recognizing him. He walked towards the table.

:Finally. It took me damn long to find you, brother.

: "I wouldn't be very good at my job if I were easy to find, now would I? What brings you all the way out here, brother? Hunting for lost treasure I assume."

Atrisse had mostly stayed quiet up to this point, shy among so many strangers. But Sandria was bugging her that she would talk, and she knew the girl wouldn't shut up until she decided to be social, so she spoke, rather quietly.

"H-hello, I-I'm known as Atrisse. A-Atrisse Caolden..."

Having overheard words about treasure, Votel put his mug down
" Treasure Hunting? Count me in guys, I offer you my service"

[Solymr]

: "I wouldn't be very good at my job if I were easy to find, now would I? What brings you all the way out here, brother? Hunting for lost treasure I assume."

:I wouldn't exactly use those words. I caught wind that you were dyin', and honestly, you look like hammered shit. Were you even gonna try to contact me?

[Sirus]

Harlan fiddled with his bowl of stew, trying to find the right words. It was true that he hadn't seen his brother in a long time, and a part of him had wanted to see his younger sibling again. But they hadn't exactly parted on the most amicable of terms, and had been growing apart for some time before that. Harlan wasn't sure to think about this.

: "What would have been the point? I have no treasure or money to leave anyone, so unless you came across some miracle cure-all out there, contacting you would have been pointless." He coughed once, unused to talking even this much. His voice softened. "Besides, look at me now. Do you honestly feel better, knowing how bad it is? And I'm told it will only get worse as the disease progresses."

His voice trailed off as he stared off into the distance before he shook himself back together.

: "So. You're here. What's your plan now?"

:How do you think I would have felt if in one or two years I tried to see you and someone told me you died without telling me?

:Anyways, my plan now depends on you. You still in the "enforcin'" business?

Harold remembered the reason he hadn't seen his older brother in so long and frowned.

[Sirus]

Harlan shook his head and ignored the contempt in his brother's voice. He wasn't exactly proud of his past.

: "Got out of that just before Evelyn left and took Jessica. To little too late, I suppose. Anyway, I've been escorting refugees and the like from up north, keeping bandits and criminal types off their backs. Not sure what I'll do next."

Meanwhile, as the commotion continues on, the loose-hinged door of the in opens and admits another entrant in a hooded cloak. He pulls down his hood just as he enters, and he walks directly over to the innkeeper at the other end of the room. As the innkeeper rushes from room to room, he only just barely notices the cloaked man.
"Huh? 'm busy enough as is, what do you want?"

: "I need one of your larger tables, over in the side room there, I believe?"

"Tough luck, stranger. We're crammed enough as is and 'm not-"
The innkeeper is interrupted as the cloaked man pushes something into his hands. He looks down, and his eyes grow wide.
"Garhad! Get your lazy ass in here!"

The hinged door swings open again, and a large, near-portly youth rushes in to the innkeep. A couple whispers are exchanged, the larger man walks into a side room. Moments later, another din is heard from that room as people start to file out with angry expressions.

Harold relaxed when he heard it. He ignored the unknown feminine names for now.

:It's a start I guess.

:Well, the rest of these guys are going on a treasure hunt. Say, we join them and go on an adventure like old times?

Henrigg turned to the people exiting the room.
"Wonder why they're leaving. Or angry, for that matter."

Votel walks over to the group
" Elliotte is it? Am Votel mistmark, a nomad looking for adventure and loot. So if you are going treasure hunting count me in!"
Votel eye the angry mob walking out the door

My adventures tended to involve less treasure and more new orphans.

Out loud he said:

: "Sure. Just like old times." Abandoning his stew, he got up and followed Harold over towards the aforementioned "guys".
