I'd like to note that I do not know what Kalgena is, and I am going to keep it that way because roleplaying. If I need to, I'll look it up when it becomes relevant. Unless its something my PC should know about?

It's his other 3.5 campaign, named after a... mining town, I think it was.

Question: Are custom prestige classes allowed if we run them by you?

I've been wanting to make an antimagic templar for a while, and if magic-protection/anti-magic stuff affects psionics and vice versa...well...

Plus, it might be easier to make a psi-hate than a magic-hate(I smite you for extra damage, and you lose power points equal to half the damage I deal. HAH.)

What you just described is actually being worked on now.

Awww. Is the capstone an antimagic field at will? With the major drawbacks being that magic items don't work for the character, yet neither do they work against him?

Please?

Losing any power points at all is pretty much crippling for a low-level psion.

Hadn't gotten that far. Build yours, then come back to me, and we can compare.

Hence why it's a prestige class.

Aye.

I have it like half-built somewhere. If I can find it. Just needed to be presented for balance by a GM...hope I didn't throw it away...

Found it! It was never finished, as I said, so a lot of this is trying to remember my thought process while writing it out. I had the table done, but the class features weren't all described or anything.

Spoiler: Manavoid Templar (click to show/hide)

I made it to be an actually effective counter to spellcasters, designed for the Paladin, and better at not being shit than the Suel Arcanamach. I think it's pretty good at that. It suffers pretty heavily against giant creatures and the like without some major support/building(I should find a way to make it so they don't become completely useless against dragons or something...speaking of which, I think they need a way to deal with summoned creatures more easily/at all) at the higher levels, and the sneaky classes, particularly rogues, become EXTREMELY dangerous to them, since they can't get the bonuses of Fortification and such. And dropping a really big rock on them still works.

It looks good, except for the fact that they could still cast spells, which, with those abilities, is a no-no.

Not really; Mage Slayer reduces your Caster Level by 4, as do both of the Pierce effects. Null Mana also originally had an effect that reduced their caster level for any spells by their class level.

And there could be something added to Manavoid Body/Soul that prevents them from ever doing magic again. Possibly a restriction that if they ever gain a level in an arcane spellcasting class after becoming a Manavoid Templar they can never again advance as a Manavoid Templar.

EDIT: Also, feel free to move around the levels they gain stuff at, add more prereqs, adjust their features, etc.

I will do so, next weekend, when I'm not sitting at my tablet.

Also, no spellcasting because of Practiced Spellcaster.

Ah, okay. That makes sense(paladin spells suck ass anyway, compared to other class's spells, besides the fact that they might not even be a paladin in the first place).

EDIT: Fixed. Sorta. Not done with all the features, after all.

I had a lvl 7 warforged paladin/fighter who had 40+AC when he was defensive with his tower shield. He couldn't kill anything on his own, and acted like a stationary trip machine. Anything that came near him or tried to get past him got tripped, and then murdered by rogues.

Point is, He didn't need no goddam spells, either. Now, if you want to play a Pal-o-win that can kill things, they get some REALLY NICE self buffs. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Holy_Sword. Things like prayer are pretty fantastic, too.
