Man. Apparently one reason why one should not play Goliaths at level one, you don't get enough cash to properly outfit the bastards.

Hey, My Name is Immaterial, can I make weapon proficiency training rolls before the start of the game?

Mmm, I'm going to have to say no. There will be plenty of down time at the beginning for you to do those things.

Just thing that I just noticed, I don't think Mutt qualifies two of his feat, Psionic meditation and Metamorphic Transfer. Although I could be wrong, to be honest I've never really been interested much in psionics myself.

Huh. So you're right.
The downside to using internet resources is that they aren't always complete.

I'd ask Immaterial to let Psionic Meditation slide as it's just ranks in psicraft, but I'll change it if I must. I'll change Metamorphic transfer. as that needs a higher level.

Charisma only impacts their bonus spells/day, I believe. Spellcraft is still an Intelligence skill.

No, it impacts DCs as well.

Spell craft is just a skill for identifying magic, it doesn't really have anything to do with using magic itself. (Except in some pretty specific, sometimes wizard only, cases)

Peronally, Ithink that spellcraft should be based on whatever the primary spellcasting attribute for the class is.

A vast majority of it use is in knowing things. Charisma and for the most part wisdom won't help with that.

I figure that use of it should just be folded into Knowledge(arcana) then. Too may skills as it is anyways. Who ever takes Forgery or Decipher Script? I bet if you folded them together with Speak Language, though...

You touched on something I've been meaning to fix about 3.5. There are too many skills.

New poll! That doesn't work!

Maybe it would make sense. Although then it would sorta be a very powerful (relative) skill, and specific ability to identify vs specific knowledge of everything contained in the arcana skill are different enough that I would be comfortable with them different. Forgery and Decipher Script are sorta questionable in a hacky slashy campagn, but in a more roleplay focused or investigative one they are pretty useful. Although also depending on the setting. (In a world with large banking establishments and government controls like IDs, such as Eberron, Forgery can be pretty useful in all games.)

That said, I think in the original set of the homerules you are using a bunch of skills were rolled together. Although I may be misremembering, so many different homerules flow though here... At any rate, I can take or leave skill consolidation.

Edit: Also the poll is closed.
