All right! Now for Windows...

Linux, OS X, and Windows should all be equally supported unless someone hasn't found some offsets on Windows yet (I haven't checked).

Those two and gm-editor are the commands I use most of all, so I would be grateful.

I should have said "equally broken" instead of "equally supported". Unless there are offsets that haven't been located on Windows, DFHack should have equivalent functionality on the three platforms, but it's still too broken to release.

No. Armok Vision does (with the remotefortressreader plugin), and a couple other plugins implement simpler RPC/protobuf commands, like rename.
I need to find a client example that interacts with one of the existing dfhack plugins that implement RPC.
I can't understand why rename has RPC implemented. Isn't it just a command you type into dfhack to rename something?

It is, but you can also call it remotely (although I'm not sure if anything does that).

About compiling for windows, would it be complicated to allow it to compile with VS 2015 in addition of VS 2010?

Unless VS has gotten a lot smarter recently, DFHack needs to be compiled with the same compiler that was used to build the core DF.

You'd think there could just be a version flag... but there isn't.

If you have vs 2010 installed, you can just open the generated solution with 2015 and tell it not to convert the project. Then it'll use the 2010 compilers, while you can use the 2015 ide.

So why isn't my favorite system supported?  :'(

So, everything compile with VC 2010 (except manipulator) but the version of DF is not recognised (yes, I compiled the dev branch)... What should I check ?

Even after checking dev branch, you must checkout libraries/xml folder to master.
