I know toady fixed the elven diplomat in the new one (but only if you gen a new world) so I wondered about adding it into an existing world like you could before.

Can you please add the bug number?

Bug for what? Today fixed the elven diplomat, so if you gen a new world he'll work. But an existing save it isn't enabled. I had wanted to use the dfhack script to add him to an existing save.

The DFHack progress graph seems to be at a standstill. Have you guys hit a roadblock? Or is Toady's update schedule setting y'all back.


Or, has real life (ghasp) pulled you from the project temporarily?

The progress bar is still using v0.40.05's structures - v0.40.06 is around 5% verified. Each minor update creates additional work, as addresses change and structures have to be re-checked, but the bulk of the remaining work is updating and testing plugins.

What do I have to type to make a shell, let's say from a turtle, appear? I can't get the createitem syntax right.

Does "SHELL CREATURE_MAT:(creature):SHELL" work?

No, the problem is the item field at the beginning. It doesn't recognize SHELL. I guess I could also try making raw mussels or something but I'm not sure how to do that either.

Body parts fall under the CORPSEPIECE token, a notoriously difficult and vague construction in reaction usage. Give it a shot anyway.

CORPSEPIECE gives "cannot create item of that type". But FISH_RAW NAUTILUS:MALE worked. That's probably the way to go.

Trying to use createitem to make granite blocks, but I have no idea of what the <item> is.

(It asks for 'createitem <item> <material> [count])

EDIT: Nevermind, got it. Had to put the item and material in caps.

is it possible to have a base version that allows dfreveal/dfunreveal to see the hidden areas while we wait for plugin verification?

Not any specifically designed for that purpose that I know of, although reveal followed by unreveal would work.
