The axe chopped deeply into Alexios' flesh, causing a brief shout of pain, and came out in a small welter of blood... Alexios would probably be nearly crippled if he didn't have his gauntlet. But have his gauntlet he did, and with a blue glow his wounds began to knit back together, the wound growing shallower and less serious very quickly. In a few seconds, naught was left but a shallow gash, and that was disappearing too.
:"Eheh... I think you'll find I'm harder to bring down than that!"

He sets the base of his spear in the ground, opening his eyes.  He seems confident enough in his ability to survive any surprise attack she might try to throw at him.

"Given what little I heard of your conversation, I doubt you mind much."

"Still, it does put you in a poor position."

"What say we speed things up a little?  Skip a tedious fight that can only end in five mercenaries dogpiling you, only for you to 'miraculously' escape thanks to some ridiculous artifact you have tucked away somewhere. Let you help us clean up the rest of these bandits. Let me get back to planning a fight against the real enemy of the People.  Everyone wins, more or less."

Mocking impression aside, the mercenary took a more serious tone as Geoffrey mentioned his jobs with the guild.

"Well, from what you're saying it's been work up to the task, though. Not bad, if you can handle all these people. Not bad at all."

Though part of him wondered how big of a deal this merchant was, Igor shrugged the thought quickly enough. It was a battlefield, any talk could wait. He cut the chit-chat with a dismissing nod and gave chase to the fleeing bandit.

"If you don't want people on your tail, you should know better than to tell the world you're scramming."

"I'm heading back to my-" he stopped, having caught himself before letting it slip. "My job's done here so I'm leaving, nothing else."

It seems to distract him well enough, even if it wasn't intended, though as Igor easily cut into him.

She seems confused at Martyn's mention of an artifact, though.

"That's what I don't get. What's this 'artifact' thing you and that other guy seem so keen on snatching. All I have are my swords."

"I'll have you know some of those 'bandits' happen to be my men. If you think I'll switch sides just because you think I'm in an unfavorable position you're more horrible than I thought you were. You can take your 'People' and shove 'em up your arse!"
