Aika was interrupted by a man standing over her, a spear at his side and sword awkwardly slung over his back.  A hand reached down, pulling her up and draping her arm over his shoulder.

"Hilde!  Help, please!  More wounded!"

He lead the pegasus rider over to the others, pressing a rag to her wound to halt the blood flow and careful not to jar her too much.

"Not sure who she is, but I doubt deserters or bandits would have a winged horse hovering over them like a worried mother hen."

"..."

He wipes off a fleck of blood Aika had managed to get on his face.

"Yes, yes, amazing Aika (whoever that is) and her legendary loyalty.  Now could I PLEASE get a healer over here before she bleeds her loyal blood out all over me?"

Aneira sighed and shook her head. Walking over to the pair, she pulled out a vulnerary, and tipped it down the woman's throat.

"Geeze, think before panicking next time. Our healers are busy but you could at least have stopped some of her pain and stopped any immediate danger."

Revived somewhat by the medicine, Aika blinked and looked around.

: "Well, since I'm not currently chopped into pieces, I assume we managed to drive the foe back?"

Martyn released Aika and folded his arms.

"I resent the implication that I panicked.  And yes, the deserter-bandit coalition appears to have been defeated."

Upon hearing the news, Aika struck a pose she hoped was heroic. The bloodstains and her general soreness detracted from the effect.
: "Ha ha! No traitor or brigand can hope to stand against Corporal Aika and the Mighty Mercenaries!" She winced and dropped the pose in a hurry. "Seriously though, thanks for the help. Captain Liz wouldn't have been happy if one of her riders got herself killed. So, who are you guys?"

"Yeah," Geoffrey joined in as he awaited a reply from the hooded girl. "And she'd have my head if that happened." Judging from Geoffrey's tone, he was completely serious.

Off with Edward...

"...So he isn't here then. Damn."

"Yes, that does complicate things. However I managed to gain some valuable information from all this. Tell me, are you familiar with the name Xavier Alten?"

"I've heard of him, yes."

"Good, because a certain Artifact of his showed up today. I'm not sure if he reported it stolen but he needs to be watched regardless."

"I'll be sure to relay the message to your father."

"Thank you, General Ernst," Edward said with a bow. "I hope this didn't trouble you too much."

"So long as you show results it'll be worth it. Don't spoil you're one chance at escaping the shadows." And with that, Ernst walked off, heading in Geoffrey's general direction.

"I wouldn't dream of it. Edward said to himself before he too walked off to see Geoffrey, taking a different route than Ernst took.

"Yes, yes, I'm on mah way."

She managed to wrap up the rest of Lian's wounds.

"Ye probably shouldnae try any posing fer now, 'at's all ah'm saying."

Alright, and next, this Aika person. She nodded at Martyn as she walked past.

"Ye should be fine. Jus' dinnae move tae much, and ye shouldnae strain anyhing."

"Are you the commander of these forces?"

"Yes I'm Captain Geoffrey, leader of the Mercenary company Godhand. Can I help you with anything?"

Alexios was working rather furiously to deal with the wounds dealt, both inside and outside of the company, during the battle. He saw Hilde dealing with some of the more critically wounded, so Alexios supposed he was going to help with the more moderately wounded. As such, he walked over to Ekul, gauntlet glowing blue.
:"Right, let's just deal with this wound here..."

Aneira shrugged.

"I call 'em like I see 'em. You were sitting there, holding her up, calling out like crazy for a healer like she was dying, yet seemingly forgetting about the vulneraries you carry. Which either means you panicked and forgot about them, or were being overly dramatic and she wasn't actually in urgent need of help."

"Or wanted to conserve a limited resource and didn't see the point in giving her one when there was a healer nearby."

He rolls his shoulder, wincing.  He wasn't too badly injured, but it still hurt.

"As if I'd panic.  Really."

Aneira rolled her eyes and sat down against one of the buildings.

"Like I said. I call 'em like I see 'em and you were either panicking or being dramatic. Since you claim you weren't panicking, I guess that leaves dramatic. Which isn't much better."
