"We're under attack!" another shouted as he moved as close as he could get to the wall and cast his magic on the other side of it. The other mage joined him and so did the shaman from the adjacent room.

The pair of knights just stoically moved to the front, weapons ready and the remaining mage took up position behind them.

"Hmm, still haven't found Leret and I've been around almost the entire place. Odd." Edward mumbled to himself. He sighed at the door in front of him. He made to reach for his tome when he suddenly turned around and grabbed the hand that had been aiming for his neck.
"Shit," Leret swore at having been caught so easily. Before he could wrest his wrist free he suddenly felt intense pain from where Edward held his wrist, as if it was being crushed.
"What the hell!?""Give me the artifacts you stole yesterday. Don't try lie, I know you have them." Edward held out his free hand.
Normally Leret would've tried to lie his way out or attempted to slash at his captor with his free hand. But in this case he feared Edward would just as easily catch his other hand and then break one of his wrists to make a point.
"Fine, take 'em!" he said as he shoved the miniature axe and glass-like glove into Edward's hand.
"Glad to see you can listen," Edward said as he pocketed the two artifacts and released Leret.
"Now how about I give you a better job, much higher paying than this one?"Despite just nearly having his wrist crushed Leret perked up. This job was getting old and harder to earn his outrageous price. A new one was just what he needed.

Despite the seriousness of the task at hand Geoffrey managed to crack a smile at Lian's comment.
"I'll make sure to get in over my head sometime then. He chuckled to himself and moved up with the rest of his company.
Geoffrey noticed that, for some odd reason, the gate was partially open. Open enough to throw an axe through.
