Dahzel groaned. "Dammit, why did I not eat." His stomach growled, but he turned back to attention when he heard Garick's promises. "Right! And then we'll get the food!" He grinned, before wincing in pain, clutching his breastplate. "...acting up again, huh?" he muttered to himself, before wielding his axe. "Let's take the town then!" he yelled, as if to dispel any doubts he had.

Keeping the enemy before him out of sight and out of mind, Ekul rushes to the locked gate and picks its locks.

Ekul movs to 11,7 and opens gate with his lockpick!

Aika raised her lance with a flourish, delighted with her dramatic entrance.

: "Never fear, new friends! I, the mighty--no, that's no good... the stupendous--no, what was it again?...ah, yes the Amazing Aika is here to help!"

Faewynd merely snorted and shook her mane.

Lian blinked, sword arm still at the ready, then grinned.
: "Well, this took a turn for the interesting all of the sudden."
: "I wouldn't suppose you're with the Itolian military, are you?"

Aika let out a short laugh and shook her head.

: "Afraid not, ma'am. You're looking at a Pegasus Knight (currently still in training) of Lenon!" She looked around at the various folks who seemed to make up this merry band. "You don't...dress like a regular army unit. Mercenaries?"

Lian closed her eyes and with a shrug and a nod.
: "Lenon, hm? I guess that explains the winged horse... Pegasus, was it? Well, I'm quite afraid this place didn't get much in the way of military help. For what it's worth, we've been the only thing keeping this town standing." She explained, tapping on her sword hilt.
: "But as much as I'd like to continue this conversation, there's some bandits that need a sound lesson in humility. I would suggest you stay back, but, I suppose that lance isn't for show." Lian walked slowly southward, turning to face the bandits. A soft click is heard as she loosens the sword in its sheath.

Not to leave a question unanswered, Geoffrey joined the conversation.

"Yes, they're mercenaries and I'm their leader, Geoffrey," he informed Aika and then quietly asked, "Are you perhaps here on behalf of Liz?"

[Sirus]

Aika took on a more professional tone at the mention of Liz.

: "You mean the Captain? She sent me on ahead; her pegasus had fallen ill and needs healing. My orders are to find someone named Jeff - or maybe it was Jeffry? - inform him of the delay, and provide assistance if required. Speaking of..."

Aika flies to (11,11), attacks the Archer, then retreats to (8,11).
