« on: June 19, 2014, 05:27:54 pm »

muh childhood
So, guys, heres the download link. The game that started it all, the only TRUE mmofps, Introducing Planetside. https://account.station.sony.com/digitalDownloads.vm
the much HATED Core Combat expansion was disabled.
I really don't know what else to say but bring friends and play!

The only MMOFPS I've ever played was WWII: Online, up until PLantetside 2 came out. I like Planetside 2, so I might give this one a shot since... it's free.

Huh. I used to play Planetside for a bit, when I came back some... event happened and the world map was split up into like a dozen smaller planets which I found downright stupid. Is this the "original" Planetside or the one that was bended and split? If it's the latter, I'd rather just play Planetside 2 :(

I'd been waiting two years for Sony to make this F2P after the sequel had no chance in hell of running on my old laptop. Of course, I traded up a month ago. Oh well, I'll probably enjoy this until the makers of WW2 Online get off their asses and add Intel HD support.

You may very well be able to run this at top settings with Intel.

Well I have been playing this a bit and it runs quite well, but it player base needs help. (Very low population maybe 10-20 at the highest) so go and let people know about to help out the player count. Anyway I would be interested in having a bay12 meet up in this.

The player count is indeed very low. I couldn't really find anything to do. There was no actual large scale combat happening, and the only times I got into firefights was when I went to enemy facilities.

Considering the fact that SOE doesnt tell anyone its F2P and this game has a fluctuating amount of players due to time, I understand that low playercount. Invite friiiends.

Well I will be on around 11:00-2:00 PST if anyone would like to join me. I figure that if enough bay12 members are interested I will create a outfit for us. ( minimally 10 for a outfit)

My question is, what faction should we pick? I suggest a poll.

It doesn't really matter, if it's a low playercount it's probably even better to spread out.

I suggest trying each faction to enjoy the general features of each of them. I would however like it if we could get a teamspeak or mumble server to chat with. Anyway I like NC myself but I have also have tried VS. So if you need so starting tips/someone to play with I will be on in 8-10 hours from now.

Aside from the low playercount, does it still play decently well?
