Domestic werebeasts?
« on: June 19, 2014, 02:53:09 pm »

Does anybody know if a domestic creature can become a werebeast?

Note that the Weremonitor did in fact BITE the Alpaca without killing it. Is this something that requires additional science?

Wiki leads me to believe your Alpaca will not become a werebeast.

Creatures bitten by werebeasts are cursed to become werebeasts themselves.
The wiki gives me hope. I'll make sure to post the outcome.

Deities may curse sentient creatures (including any animal man) to transform into an animal form on the night of a full moon.

This is what made me think it wasn't possible. I think a creature needs either one, all or some combination of the tokens [INTELLIGENT],[CAN_LEARN] and [CAN_SPEAK]. Wiki says [INTELLIGENT] is the equivalent to [CAN_SPEAK] and [CAN_LEARN].

Sal's right.

The closest thing you could do is make tame animalmen into werebeasts, and even then there's no guarantee you can get a tamable animalman on your map in the first place

Well I have a new goal. Get a tame tigerman bitten by a weretiger. I don't know what the hell I would do with it, though...
