"Ha ha! Right you are. So did you see or hear about where he was going? Or maybe where his ship is docked?"

"He seemed to leave in a haste, didn't say anything. A few sailors followed him, so if I had to bet, he went straight for his ship. That was a while ago, so if he was hurrying to leave port he's probably done so by now."

"Okay, thanks for the talk."

Wade then proceeds to ask around if anyone knows anything about the mysterious captain or where the Cloud of Shrimps is located.

No cannon rounds, not enough powder to be worth his time...clearly, he was in the wrong place. Gethron unwound the wire so the cupboard doors could open and cursed out loud.

"Damn stuff still won't ignite, and now I've gone and spilled oil everywhere. Might as well come on out, I ain't gonna try lighting it any more."

The alchemist opens the doors and walks out. "Huh, weird, it was working fine this morning. Ah! I found what I was looking for, sorry about that." He picks up an umbrella from the cupboard, seemingly at random.

He seems slightly disappointed, "I guess you won't be wanting my ultra-special powder now, there must have been something wrong with the formula, eh? Back to the drawing board then! Thanks for your assistance anyway!" Going back to his cheery disposition, he walks you out the door.

On bay12, a poll option of basically 'nuke the world' named 'Apocalypse Hitler' is like asking an alcoholic if they want some whiskey.

((

I've hit a bit of a mental block, I've been writing a post trying to explain points and compels but it ended up more like a long rant, I need to trim it down a bit. Last week I've been so friggin' busy with work related stuff and family stuff I haven't had time to be online more than a few minutes at a time...

I don't want to abandon the game tho, I just need to get my ideas together.

I strongly recommend you guys take a look at these pages:

http://fate-srd.com/fate-accelerated/aspects-fate-points
http://fate-srd.com/fate-core/invoking-compelling-aspects
http://fate-srd.com/fate-core/fate-point-economy

To sum up: the game works around compels, you have a certain "flaw" as an aspect, I offer you a point so that it messes things up. You accept it and then we have !!Fun!!. If you want to reject it (which you shouldn't want to, since you came up with the aspects) you can instead pay one of your points in reserve.

It would be good if we get on the same page about what can be compelled about your aspect. Like, if someone has a Womanizer flaw, I don't want to compel that just to be told "well but he's really careful when he womanizes so that nothing bad ever happens to him, and he will set an intrincate alarm system so that he knows in advance when the husband arrives", that kind of thing.
