Should I roll for this? And if so, can someone else do it? On mobile, and can't access roll20.

Don't roll, just play it. You probably have that much money, it's pocket change.
We'll talk when you need to cough up enough money to buy a new cannon or sumthin...

EDIT: I should try to clarify... Don't worry about skill rolls too much, you can just assume you can do any everyday task that makes sense for your character. Unless there's a clear opponent for an action or if it's something dramatic that can go wrong.

About money, I know that it's abstracted into a skill, but just like you normally don't need to roll if you're driving home without crashing, you don't need to roll to buy a beer. If you had consequence or aspect of being broke (which could even be a result of overexpending) or someone stole your purse, I would probably compel that like I would if your vehicle was busted.

Now, if you had to bribe someone or throw cash at some other big problem I would ask for a roll.

The barwoman accepts the coins, and hunches over your table with a wet cloth, pretending to clean it (clearly an impossible task). She whispers to you, "you may want to keep an eye on the gentlemen on the far table," she nods in the direction of some wealthy looking individuals, apparently merchants of some kind.

Briggs squints at the merchants discreetly, trying to make out any distinguishing features.

[Sirus]

Gethron leaned closer to Briggs.

"You gonna go talk to them? I'll come with you as backup, in case they try somethin'."

[Sergius]

The merchants look a bit too posh for this place. There's six of them and they wear matching blue uniforms typical of some trading company, but there doesn't seem to be any distinguishable insignia that could reveal what ship they come from. They have an air of professionalism about them, and are drinking but they seem to mostly keep to themselves. One of them seems much older than the rest and appears to be their leader.

[Kadzar]

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Watch me work my magic, boys."

He walks over to the merchants' table.

"Excuse me, gentleman, do you mind if my companions and I join you? My friend over there has generously offered to pay for drinks." He points back towards Mr. Briggs.

[GentlemanRaptor]

Briggs grumbles again and reaches for the rest of his beer money.

[Sirus]

Gethron elbows Briggs.

"Betcha ten crons that he gets us a job."

[GentlemanRaptor]

Gethron elbows Briggs.

"Betcha ten crons that he gets us a job."

"No bet, mate. I don't want to lose another ten crons tonight. Besides, if those merchies over there decide to take advantage of my "generous hospitality", and you can bet they will, I'll be out another twenty." Briggs sighs. "Well, at least it's for a good cause."

Ok, Merchant guy rolled a -1 for a total of 0, so that's a success with style. You get a one-use Boost on the guy (not sure if I care enough to name boosts, heh, but it would probably only apply for social actions). In any case the reaction is favorable.

The old man raises his eyes from his drink, looking at Wade, and upon hearing his offer, his taciturn demeanor changes to a much more upbeat one. "Oh, I see some fledglings want to regale themselves with some of my stories! Please, you're all welcome, and your free beer too, of course!"

One of the younger men mutters in his ear "sir, are you sure... we need to..."

"Nonsense, Higgins! These fine and well-meaning people are just here to keep us company, there's no need to be unpolite!"

"But... sir... my name's not Higgins..."

"Come on, men, scoot around and make some space. Higgins, get a few extra chairs, I'm thirsty tonight!"

[Kadzar]

"Indeed, sir, we would love to hear some of your stories." He motions his men towards the table. "C'mon over guys."
