Roll to Mook: Mission 1
« on: June 16, 2014, 01:02:16 pm »

Have you ever wanted to be an evil henchmen? You know, the kind with awful marksmanship and armor who get slaughtered by the heroes in droves along their quest to overthrow your overlord. Well, here is your chance. Sign up today! Because, if you don't join up, the evil overload will mind control you into joining anyway.

This is an inverse Adventure RTD. Instead of being the heroes, your job is to stop them. You will likely fail at this. Because this focuses on the heroes, situational rolls that are normally bad (1s and 2s) are good for you (ex. The overlord decides to send out (1) half his army to slaughter the beleaguered and outnumbered heroes). However, combat works normally (ex. Hero attacks Mook 1 [6 vs. 3] and slices Mook 1's head off). I'll start with 5 players

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Currentyl it's a tie between urban fantasy and sci-fi. Anyone willing to break the tie?

Mission 1: Origins

In the modern town of New City, few knew that an evil businessman and his army of magical skeletons sought to take over it. You are one of those skeletons. By day, you appear as a regular human, however darkness reveals your true form. You can use medieval weapons, like swords, bows and axes. You are strong, but not very smart. You are weak to night magic, fire, and smashing.

"My minions" Your evil overlord begins "After much evil and villainous schemes, I have located some magical crystals that will help me rule over all of Earth! The first one was found recently by some kid in the street. Travel to his house, kill all inside, and recover the crystal! Understand?"

You all nod in agreement, before the evil overlord heads back to his secret lair.

There are 20 mooks on this mission. You are 5 of them.
