Character: Lucien, Luna, Victrix 1437584692-B32
Player: Harbingerjm
Regiment:
Speciality: Tech-Priest Enginseer
Demeanour: "Backwater", "Lucky", Obsessive, Pious.
Description: 180cm, slender build. Wears armour and robes basically constantly. Nobody knows what lies beneath a Tech-Priests gear (it is a mystery~!). Right-handed. Pale, black haired (copper highlights), blue eyes (one mechanical). Sculpted metal throat insert (fairly close to original throat in form, largely indistinguishable from an unmodified human throat to a casual look) with gill-like vox grills. A moderate amount of inset circuitry, dermal and subdermal. Electro-graft at base of skull.
Background: Born to lowly labourers on the Mechanicus Forge World Synthis IV, Luna was recommended by her Overseer for selection to fill the manpower requirements of a planned Mechanicus expedition to Cuatl III, headed by an Explorator originally hailing from Synthis. The Explorator (Patronius, Trenne, Victrix) selected Luna and several others for advancement in the Cult Mechanicus, obviously impressed by their abilities (accusations of nepotism would be totally unfounded), and Luna eventually reached the rank of Tech-Priest. However, soon after there was a refounding of a Cuatl regiment, and the Adeptus Mechanicus presence on the world was requested to supply Enginseers and other Tech-Priest support. Due to Trenne's desire to keep good relations with the Departmento Munitorum, he decided to donate some of his underlings, and Luna, eager to emulate her mentor by travelling the galaxy, observing new worlds, and killing the enemies of the Emperor, volunteered.

Also, regarding the regiment name, I suggest:
Cuatl has a number of regiments, collectively referred to as the Cuatl(an?) Crusaders (much like the Death Korps of Krieg, the Catachan Jungle Fighters, etc). These are probably primarily Line Infantry and Light Infanty, with maybe some Rough Riders, Reconnaissance and Guerrillas.
Each regiment has its own number (used primarily in official Departmento Munitorum contexts and by outsiders), and when the regiment is exterminated or reduced to the point they cannot simply be reinforced the Departmento just re-founds the regiment, potentially with a different specialisation (when they get around to it).
The Cuatl people see each seperate founding as a new regiment entirely, largely disregarding the official number, and giving each one a unique local name, used to refer to the regiment by members of that regiment, other Cuatl regiments, or non-Guard Cuatl natives in unofficial contexts.
The lower number regiments are given priority when it comes to reinforcement if manpower is lacking, hence our regiment (a newly-founded instance of the 5th) having The Few.
