It's typically within like a dozen meters or so.

And it would probably happen right before or during a battle, since I'm not a Diviner or nothin'.

No problem then lol. In a combat situation I'll be a long way off from the fighting. So I should be clear of your effects.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, either. >.>

We don't need to have a commissar ready to blow our heads off at any given moment. <.<

Although, who volunteers to be my companion protector/sentry?
Only if you volunteer to be mine.
Techpriest nooo. Us priest must stick together. ;w;
Just trying to Servitor-ise the psyker, don't mind me.

Pretty sure your companion won't actually be a servitor. Probably the Operator, actually. And ye his.

I figure the Stormtroopers will be buds, Ratling and HEAVY WEAPONS GUY will make good friends, Medic and Sarge/Weapon Specialist will be together a lot, Ogryn will either be Ratling's friend or Sarge's friend(or Psyker's actually, since neither would really judge the other, unlike basically everyone else), and I'm maybe left with Ministorum Priest. We'll probably shout at each other a lot whilst drunk.

Because having two commisars totally means that they'll get along perfectly!

That could actually be very amusing. Though why they would assign two commissar to a squad, nobody knows.

They suspected the first commissar was a heretic?

They're conjoined twins.
That would be one of the most amusing things ever known to me in the 40k universe.

How that would work mechanics-wise is almost funnier. You could have two players debate move actions.

Alternatively it could work like that one Tech-Priest upgrade. The one where they get someone else's brain bolted to them.

Depends on how much and where they're cojoined. Or maybe, you could have two commissars who were cojoined at birth, were separated successfully, and have the best/worst brotherly relationship ever?

"Brother, I think you might be a Heretic!"
"No, it is you who is the Heretic!"
"We must settle this disagreement with a duel!"
"Yes, a duel!"
Onlooker: "Ok, first step, each of you draw your pistol, turn, and take three paces away."
""...""
"On second thoughts, let us not duel."
"You're right, it is a silly argument."

Also, regarding the regiment name, I suggest:
Cuatl has a number of regiments, collectively referred to as the Cuatl(an?) Crusaders (much like the Death Korps of Krieg, the Catachan Jungle Fighters, etc). These are probably primarily Line Infantry and Light Infanty, with maybe some Rough Riders, Reconnaissance and Guerrillas.
Each regiment has its own number (used primarily in official Departmento Munitorum contexts and by outsiders), and when the regiment is exterminated or reduced to the point they cannot simply be reinforced the Departmento just re-founds the regiment, potentially with a different specialisation (when they get around to it).
The Cuatl people see each seperate founding as a new regiment entirely, largely disregarding the official number, and giving each one a unique local name, used to refer to the regiment by members of that regiment, other Cuatl regiments, or non-Guard Cuatl natives in unofficial contexts.
The lower number regiments are given priority when it comes to reinforcement if manpower is lacking, hence our regiment (a newly-founded instance of the 5th) having The Few.
