a new custom race intended for masterwork

here are the raws for my new race, the dark ones, fluff will come later. as always, feedback and suggestions of any kind are welcome.

If you want to sell us on a new race, start with a good summary of what they are, how they are unique and how one generally plays them. Looking at the raws tells us nothing. For reference, look at the first post for gnomes, warlocks, succubi, and the other major races. It's ok if that changes over time.

So you've basically just copied and pasted Meph's Warlocks with no unique changes, slapped a new name on them and are trying to pawn it off as your own new thing?

So you've basically just copied and pasted Meph's Warlocks with no unique changes, slapped a new name on them and are trying to pawn it off as your own new thing?

Easy, there.  The draws are nothing like those of the warlocks, these look more like a fortress defense enemy with a few somewhat different castes.

Still, they need something a little more interesting.  The evil sorcerer role is already taken, thematically speaking.  Maybe if they were some kind of eldritch horror instead..

Apologies, I'm not a modder. When he said that they aren't any different, I guess I jumped to conclusions.

By "draws", I think he meant "raws", it's probably a mistype. The race is not called Draws, they're called The Dark Ones.

You'd be pretty well served reading the names of the people you're replying to.

Jumping all over the OP because one user said they are similar to Warlocks is a little ridiculous.

I like the idea, and I agree with indigofenix that these should go more in the direction of Eldritch instead of evil sorcery, maybe change the description to something like "these evil beings have been hideous mutated by contact with dark and evil powers from before the world began" etc. Maybe add several more castes that are all unnervingly mutated, like for example "A horrifying creature with the appearance of a man who has been twisted into the shape of a beast, its bite carries the stark coldness of the void." maybe-I don't know if it is possible- make the material the teeth so cold the it gives frostbite on contact.

That is just my opinion,hope it helps
