Oh man, the Nothing... that's the creepiest thing I've seen in DF.
It seems to block lava flow though, judging by the pictures. I wonder... can you build on it? Either way it's kind of impeding the function of your weapon, and I assume you'll have to rework it around this damned hole in the universe...

The Nothing blocks lava flow, can't be dug out, and can't be built upon. Pretty creepy, I agree.

And yeah, the next step is to rework the western lava vents to circumvent the void. I suspect the next few chapters will be pretty... heated.

Once the weapon has exceeded its usefulness perhaps you should arrange a couple cave ins and see what happens to the nothing.

I'll probably mint coins at some point in the future, but they won't be of copper.

Chapter 35 has been posted!

It almost seems as though Rith planned for this to happen. There is no love between them judging by that craft violation order. I'm not sure which lever.

I think Rith could be singing something like:

Well, here we are again.
It's always such a pleasure,
Remember when you tried to kill me twice?
Oh, how we laughed and laughed,
Except I wasn't laughing,
Under the circumstances I've been shockingly nice.

Actually, drinking magma is completely harmless.

I say kill the vampire. You may not get another chance. Also, based on what has happened so far there is a decent chance he could survive anyway. Leave the decision of whether he lives or dies to the game.

Wow, three FBs in less than a full season. Do you know their specific arrival dates? You may have broken a record.

You know, clothing really does wear too fast to be realistic. I mean, come on, dwarves can and have colonized hell, you'd think they'd have figured out a way to make a shirt last more than a few years.

Normally I'm against killing, but hey. He's already dead, and who knows how many he has killed. Kill him, and save countless lives in the future!
Burn the vampire!

clothes tend to wear off quite fast when you wear them nonstop for 2 years, underground, and while working.

You have tested this?
*shudder*
Besides, in a fortress as large as Roomcarnage even the most valuable dwarf isn't going to be working all that much.
