Basically, we expand and contract space around a ship to move faster than light.

I was thinking something to do with drills.

You realize every race can have their own method of hyperspace travel, right? From psychic manipulation to probability drives to wormhole generators?

Yeah, just saying the most realistic would be an Alcubierre drive.

Also because it apparently got buried:

Skalkr and the Hive can be on the same planet, the Skalkr in the desert part, the Hive in the jungle part. Koharu could be on the arctic of any planet that has one. Destrechen could be on one of the moons of the gas giant to make them a bit closer.Perhaps the Flock and Koharu on the same planet, Skalkr and the Hive on the same planet, Destrechen and Bloons adjacent?

Any objections?

Damn, that better be a big ass moon. Just sayin'. But alright.

Also, not sure what an Alcubierre drive is or why it's the most realistic.

Well the drive uses exotic matter (the only handwave required) in order to move space around it so that it goes "faster than light" by going a shorter distance than the light around it. It could work with real physics as long as we find the matter needed.

And it could be an Earth size moon.

Mmmmmmm I hope it's made of denser materials; it's supposed to have at least somewhat more powerful gravity than Earth.

In a minute I'm gonna finalize it, right now 'full' is just "whoa ton of people posted sheets + said they're interested". Once I've counted it all out I'll see if I can add in those interested people that are waiting.

Sorry if it seems like the planning phase is going slow, bit overworked.

EDIT:

We have a total of 6 civilizations ready. I suppose we could set the max up to 9, so that a tie isn't possible in the voting.

Maps will wait until the remaining 3 slots are filled then.

Ironed up the back story of bloon, i named the gas giant so that it is easier to recognize. If anything is not ok just tell me

Why not just set it up so you're the tiebreaker?

What other point would there be for the GM, otherwise?

I've finished my sheet. NN, if you'd like me to change my planet to coexist with another one of the player species here, that would be alright.

I'd also like to welcome our GM to our forums! I wish you the best of times here, and hope you find we're a fun and engaging gang, if a bit eccentric.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

I prefer a player council with this kind of game than an actual GM, it usually works better since it's very much a player interaction based roleplay rather than a plot based thing.

And 9+1=10, which means I could instigate a tie if needed to let us think more if the votes are that close.

EDIT:

Also TCM thanks, I'm actually not new, just using a new account since my old account mysteriously vanished. :P

What role as a GM will you be taking? What special powers will you have?

Just wondering, who were you in the past? I've gone through similar experiences of losing my stuff.

No special powers besides editing the OP and updating maps. Besides that I'll just be a regular player.

Also I'm not entirely sure if my profile even exists anymore, or which username I filed it under. I do remember that I tried to run several forum adventures but failed and triiied to mod but could never figure it out. :P

EDIT:

Remuthra, if you didn't put a sheet in you're not on the list yet, which is why I'm expanding the list's spaces from all the interest.

Man, Collective Community Game. I'm up for it, long as it doesn't dissolve into petty arguing. Let's do our best to avoid that y'all, perhaps we should have a rule that as player council, when it comes to game developments, majority gives the final Yes or No. How does that sound?

Also, does anyone want to be on the same planet as the Guwaghaii?

My apologizes for not being a thorough reader. Good foresight on that one GM!
