Before I make the official maps I'll be studying gas giants and ecosystems, don't worry. I've done this a lot before really, though detail depends.

•Name of species and civilization: Raves, The Flock
•Picture and/or physical description: Males: cat-sized  flying predators.  Look like eagles but posses  nimbler talons.
Females: Two and half meter high, non-flying birds. Unlike males they are omnivore  and posses a long trunk to supplement a beak. Nature created the trunk as a way to consume underground insects, but it has a secondary role of a manipulator.
•Racial characteristics:
    - Flight: (males  only)
    - Sexual Dimorphism: Due to specifics of local planet's DNAs, sexes look like different species. Raves are not an exception
    - Fast breeders: Females lay a lot of eggs. Most of them are smaller male ones
    - Mediocre manipulators: Beaks, talons and trunks are usable but worse than hands or tentacles that most races posses
    -Limited intelligence (Males): Due to small brain size, IQ of males rarely goes beyond 90. 80 is common average
    -Tactical combat masters (Males): Raves are exceptional fighters. Their mind is attuned for that role. They have lighting fast reflexes and system of complex instincts that aids teamwork.
    -Avian eye: Their eyes are a masterpiece of evolution. Not only the posses very acute sight but their eyes allow them to see in ultraviolet light. Furthermore special molecules in their eyes allow Raves to see magnetic fields
     •Racial biography:
    -The race is one of many subspecies of predatory male bird\omnivore female birds on the planet but the only one that survived after appearance of many predators that exterminated females.
That was achieved by forming large groups with dozen or so females and hundreds of males ready to swarm creature of any size should it threaten a female or eggs
•Location: Terrestrial planet with 2\3 ocean, three continents and many-many volcanic islands. It is very seismically active and earthquakes are ten times more common than on Earth.
•Technology: Tribal Era
       - Hunting*



*For ages Raves could prey only small animals, with developing of pack hunting they started to swarm larger targets,after  they learned to make spears and drop them from above no animal can be safe from hunting parties. Furthemore females learned the art of trapmaking

I wasnt planning for bloon to build much, can i change technology for like evolution/adaptation instead as i think it is more fitting

•Name of species and civilization: Skalkr, Skalar Konsoda (Skalkran Consortium in whatever is the equivalent of a common tongue here)
•Picture and/or physical description: Short, bulky four-armed, grey-skinned humanoids, with tough skin resembling stone; this skin is also covered with grey, bone plates. Males have two horns on their heads, while females have one. They often have shades of yellow for eye colors.
•Racial characteristics:
- Four-armed: The Skalkr can equip four weapons/tools/anything hand-held instead of two.
- Immunity: They are invulnerable to the venom of their native fauna, and resistant to venom, toxins and poisons.
- Stoneskinned: The Skalkr have both plates of bone and tough skin, to the point that small blades and bullets cannot harm it, and large blades and bigger bullets take longer to pierce it. They also have a resistance to temperature extremes; cold and hot.
- Unthirsting: They can also survive a very long time without water due to their adaptation to their planet.
- Long memory: They remember a lot of things. A LOT.
- Rapid Breeders: Skalkr can breed very quickly, having 4-5 children per pairing, as a result of the absolute deadliness of their homeworld.
•Racial biography:
- The Skalkr are the product of many years of fighting and adapting to their surroundings; in their desert lands, they must fight for water and food with the ravenous predators that travel their planet. As a result, they have gained muscle to grapple with their enemies, tough skin to resist the natural weapons of their enemies, a tough constitution to resist the venom of the creatures they must eat, and other things to survive their world.
•Location: A desert planet with some water and tough plant life where it exists. The fauna is tough, speedy, and very nutritious if one can take them. There seem to be unusual mineral deposits underneath the deserts that seem to alter the Skalkr in some form. Right now, it's too early to tell in what manner...
•Technology: Tribal Era
       - Hunting*

Name of species and civilization: Koharu, Kopaka's Brood

Picture and/or physical description: Squat, white furred humanoids. They have several large tails with bony projections jetting off them that act like spears. Koharu are easily capable of swimming underwater for up to an hour.

Racial characteristics:
-Bony tails:  Koharu can spear targets by stabbing with their tails in a snakelike motion, impaling a target with a bone spear that extends from their tails. Males usually have more than females, but it is mostly dependant on ancestry.
-Broodmothers: There is an additional sex, Broodmother, alongside male and female. Broodmothers produce 'cocoons', which standard sexes inject their genetic code into to reproduce. Broodmother births are very rare, and they usually end up as leaders of tribal groups.
-Adapted to cold: Living in icy caves will do that to you.
-Diving: Can stay underwater for up to an hour
-Matchmakers: Are obsessed with creating breeding pairs in order to produce a more perfect version of their species.
-Bioluminescent: They can make parts of their back glow when required.

Racial biography: (personality, short back-story)
Relatively unchallenged, the Koharu quickly asserted dominance over the cave systems above the water, safe from the creatures that lurked below in the deep oceans. With no natural predators, their only enemies are each other, for control of both broodmothers and pastures for their animals. They are highly territorial and protective of what they consider theirs.

Location: -Ice sheets. The surface is a desolate, freezing plain of snowstorms and icy mountains. Underneath it though, high levels of geothermal activity creates a warm ocean underneath the ice, which is filled with life.

Occasionally, lava eruptions crack through to the surface of the ocean and higher, creating warrens of massive basalt-floored caves in the ice. These caves, rich in plant life, support a smaller ecosystem of creatures that can survive in air, including the Koharu.

Name of species and civilization: Destrachen(singular Destrach); Hurmdea Empire

Physical description: Thickly-built, silicon-based life-forms, with long, powerful tails in place of legs, and six limbs, each with five fingers; two of which are opposable, to either side of the 'primary' three. The upper limbs are slightly stronger, but less dextrous, than, then the lower limbs. The uppermost limbs also bear a set of claws on the fingers, and Destrachen also sport a crest along their back and head that is typically used for mating displays. There are three genders, female being the largest, and dirthacc being the smallest, in terms of physical size. Females are typically anywhere from 15 to 24 feet long, from top of the head to tip of the tail, with the tail taking up a little over half that length; more as they grow larger. Males will grow to be between 13 and 21 feet long, while dirthacc will typically end up between 10 and 17 feet. Very strong and very heavy; often, a typical Destrach will weigh several tonnes, both due to the higher density of their body, and the larger size, compared to humans. Skin color and texture is fairly rough, dark, typically between colors of auburn, copper, and dark gray, though all the metallic colors have been noted in their skin tones.

Racial Characteristics:
-High tolerance for heat: Normal body temperature being several thousand degrees Farenheit means you need to be rather tough in terms of heat tolerance. They can withstand a larger range of temperatures, as well.
-Heavy: Exactly what it says on the tin.
-Strong: Living on a planet with gravity several times that of earth's, as well as being enormously heavy, and on a planet where everything else is similarly heavy, has caused the Destrach to evolve a rather unique musculature that is immensely powerful compared to other species.
-Caste-based: Their society is remniscent of feudal caste-based systems, subtle variations in skin tone and markings, as well as crest styles, marking which caste one belons too.
-Claws: Thick, powerful claws on their upper set of arms mean they have a good way to defend themselves when needed
-Tails: Powerful tails provide the ability to move, rather than legs, though they can pull themselves along with their arms when necessary.
-Six Arms: Exactly what it says on the tin. The lowermost set is the most dextrous, the uppermost is the strongest.
-Loving Parents: Destrachen take very good care of their children, a result of having only a few per couple; if they were not taken care of well,they would not exist as a species.

Racial Biography: One of the few silicon-based sentient life-forms in the galaxy, Destrachen evolved on a harsh world where violence was the only way to survive with few resources and many predators. However, with the advent of new forms of metallurgy(for metal is easy to shape when it melts only a hundred degrees or so above room temperature), they are carving out a niche for themselves, a better life wherein they can advance more steadily. They highly praise craftsmanship and honour, as well as having war as the cultural norm.

Location: Volcanic magma world. Blooming with life....just not carbon based life. Violent temperature changes at times, hundreds of degrees differences. That said, the 'coldest winter for 200 years' would still burn most other organisms to a crisp within seconds. The Destrachen's home at the moment, on this burning planet, is at the edge of a magma sea, where they can have easy access to food and 'water'.

We do have the problem that each of us has chosen a radically different planet. So we probably should look and see if we can combine some of these planets.

IT SHOULD NEVER BE FARENHEIT.

That aside, like the gasbag civilization, you would be isolated till the extreme late game.

Riiight. I'll be combing these over to find a way to combine these planets down, otherwise the game's gonna be boring for a long time with everyone so isolated.


The temperature is a bit ridiculous on the Destrachen, but the rest seem fine given a quick read-over. Later today I'll be posting the revised planet merging and seeing who all agrees.


EDIT:

Skalkr and the Hive can be on the same planet, the Skalkr in the desert part, the Hive in the jungle part. Koharu could be on the arctic of any planet that has one. Destrechen could be on one of the moons of the gas giant to make them a bit closer.


Perhaps the Flock and Koharu on the same planet, Skalkr and the Hive on the same planet, Destrechen and Bloons adjacent?
