Ok i assume we all misunderstood the time thing, we shoul all right about the same time period then advance after everybody write?

This is so confusing....

Alsoskalkr should have spent this time frame completing the old research, they shouldnt be able to start a new one yet

1 post by anyone adds 3 months to the time, globally. Each post you take gives +1 to your technologies. You can research more than one technology at a time, as long as they aren't inconceivable to research both at the same time without them taking longer.

That's actually the main draw of my multi-threaded thinking, I'm gonna be doing 8 things at once but incredibly slowly once my preamble completes. :P

We're just lava space dwarves. I mean honestly.

Well, not just, but yeah. Big, bulky, with good technology.

Uh. Dude. Just take your bloody turns in a reasonable time frame. It's freeform, we aren't competing or anything. Like he said, you can work on multiple techs at once, so if you can't post as much, have your race work on a bunch of shit at the same time.

On another note.

Nonexistent, what are your plans, meta-wise, regarding our cultures?

Not sure honestly. I do know that my creatures' tongue is going to be incredibly vulgar seeming so I imagine we'd be seen as crude backwater things and then probably jump up a ton into freelance merchants, bandits (until their armor gets useless enough that fifty of them couldn't crawl on top of someone and let them stab them to death) and strategists.

And I do think in the end they'll turn out very cyborg-ish, given that they already have a nice spot to put electronics.

Funfact: The word for being with someone romantically is "Crusket", which is also breeding and pollinating (same thing with Cree). This both reduces the relationship to breeding if taken the wrong way, and since "sket" is the word for hearing and hearing is their only sense... it also reduces breeding to 50% attractiveness of the members in the relationship.

Funfact 2: there is no word for yes. nunu means "not-whatever word follows it" and "no". So to say yes, you would say "nunununu" or "not-no".

And yeah if you can't post as much, just make your tech times to completion shorter to where you progress at around the same speed.

And if anyone gets that left behind, they'll probably get replaced by another player's species, or another species will find them and give them the technology as a sort of seeding. Being in a different technology level is an interesting roleplay predicament.

As Rolep said, you can do multiple technologies. I myself, am probably going to set up a tech queue.

No, it's after every post. That's half the point.

Take way too long otherwise. We're almost all alone anyway, so it doesn't make much of a difference.

But we should still take it in turns.

Wow this is cool probably can't play because I can't write as much as you guys are but I will be reading and also it might help to put a link from the ooc to the ic and vice versa in the first post for those who can't go to your site. and I don't know why but I really like the way the bloons are being played.

Just as a question. Is it every post from every player that advances technology, or just your own posts?

In that case, quite a few people have done it wrong.

Besides, that only worsens the difference between people who post often and people who don't. And you'll get a series of short posts, or only 2 turn research technologies, after all, technology is the main part of every discussion.
