Crashes are all well and good, but when are you going to fix the rampant apostrophe abuse?

That doesn't seem to bother as many people' as youd thin'k.

I'm pretty happy with the launch, we hit 1000 sales in the first 3 days which was nice. I won't publicly discuss sales further, but I imagine they will slow down until we launch gold in Jan-Feb

Congrats!

It's pretty far down the list as we have had precisely one complaint. Also, '. That is all.

I'm betting those last two sentence fragments are giving you an eye twitch. This also reminds me of my favorite Simpson's quote relating to grammar.

Lisa: Almost done. Just lay still.

Linguo: Lie still.

Lisa: I knew that. Just testing.

Linguo: Sentence fragment.

Lisa: Sentence fragment is also a sentence fragment.

[Linguo's eyes move back and forth as it thinks]

Linguo: Must conserve battery power.

[Linguo shuts itself down]

Which is a sad, yet telling, sign of the times.

I just think most people are bothered but not enough to file an official bug report :D

Actually, there's a lot of proofreading that needs to be done. There's the apostrophe's  :P and the lack of spaces after some sentences. So there are also a lot of odd sentence fragments. So you can be confused. So there's also a lot of confusing information in the large text blocks and too many sentences start with "so".

I would also say that, presently, the UI isn't as good as that in Dwarf Fortress. In DF, the interface options are very obtuse, but most of them can be used extremely quickly once you've learned your way around (with some notable exceptions, like assigning labor). Doing most things in Arms Dealer seems to involve opening multiple ungainly windows and keeping track of information as you go between them, not to mention that the game chugs(!) even on my moderately powerful computer. I'll withhold from making too many specific recommendations about the interface until I've got into the game a little further, and I understand it better and know what kind of operations one makes frequently during the game. Right now, I just about got through the story objective to plot a travel route through a few countries before encountering a crash.

Regarding the simulation speed/pause debate, I think I might have said this earlier in the thread, is that you should consider why you have the time moving the way you do. Is the intent to make the player make rushed decisions, or to skillfully navigate the UI? If so, might as well keep it where it is, but I don't think that's really a good idea. If you want to maintain immersion, a real-time speed setting might be just as good as a pause, since stuff takes a lot of time to happen.

Before worrying about the text of the message, I think the game needs a way to record the text, so I don't have to remember the missions myself.  This isn't 1992.

Confirmed.  But how was I suppose to know that?

Ah, must have missed it, sorry!

We will get a hotkey list added in game. Eventually...

Speaking of eventually, build 11 is just around the corner. It is exciting for us because we are finally rolling out some user-requested features instead of straight bug fixes and optimizations.

I have uploaded a pre-view video to YouTube, you can see it here:

The TLDWYTVBIALNBPN (too long don't watch youtube videos because I am lazy non-binding patch notes) are below. Keep in mind that they may change before we roll out the release candidate on steam.
