"If this is not a mistrial then what ahem, pardon me for asking, but does prosecution actually have a case anymore? Physical evidence that narrows down suspects but not to a single one, and is suspicious on itself. Contradicting witnesses, explained away by logic which doesn't hold water. I wouldn't call that enough for a guilty verdict."

((Remember everyone, a defense attorney doesn't need to "solve" the case or even prove the defendant didn't dunit. Only that it's plausible they might not have. After all, convictions must happen "without a reasonable doubt."))

The jury asks who's getting sued for what and why they haven't been executed for failing to get the execution bees riled up.

Just as a matter of curiosity, how did you zip up that bag so quickly?"

"Something's wrong here. Why are you not taking volunteers for prosecutor?"

((Pffft, this is Ace Attorney. If the defense doesn't find the real guilty party, they lose.

Besides, where's the fun in a murder mystery if you don't find the real guilty party?))
"Something's wrong here. Why are you not taking volunteers for prosecutor?"
((For the sake of the game. I wrote up a plot and filled the prosecution's story with holes on purpose to mimic the gameplay of Ace Attorney.))

"As for why they would need gloves, we believe they were used by an unidentified human accomplice, who took the body from the lemons at some point to throw investigators off the trail. The citric acid likely got on them when he took the body from the lemons."
