They've been keeping me here for days it feels like. No food. No water. Sanity is eroding. No way to tell the passage of time. Feel like I'm going completely snap.
"What? Dude, you've been here, like, 15 minutes. Shut up."Geez, can't you let me out?
"around with her plan! You'll never escape!"I wonder why I can't simply send Lucario and Zoroark to decapitate these morons.
Or why they didn't put me in a room with a single-tile entrance so that they wouldn't waste so much manpower guarding me. Or why the let me keep my Pokémon for that matter.
While pondering just how quickly Lucario can perform a neck snap, something floats through the wall.
"Graham the Gym Leader?"Oh yes, the kid who likes dead people.
That's what bases are usually for, yeah.
"You want to give me a hand? >Yes/No"
Assuming that doesn't mean actually chopping off my hand so you can necro it to strangle the guards... wait, that does sound pretty cool. I'll do it, but only if I get to replace my hand with a chainsaw or something.
He(not his Gengar) uses Shadow Sneak to teleport me through the desk.
Fusion, as in the Pokéhadron Collider type of experiment? If I recall, that did not work too well. Given that it summoned Divaevus and blew up my hometown right in front of me and all.
"See you in a bit!"Meanwhile, I'll engage in violence not intended to be seen by an 11-year old, even if that 11-year old has a death fetish.
Nurse Joy over there will heal my Pokémon. I don't know if she's working with Team Olympus or they coerced her somehow.
First thing, because I want to see their reaction, I'm heading over to that line of guards who were holding me captive.
Along the way, I find TM08 Bulk Up on this absurdly long desk.
"If you could beat them that would be great!"I guess I'm not the only prisoner here. I guess that also explains what Joy is doing here.
"around with her plan! You'll never escape!"Er... I already have escaped you idiot. Lame.
Clearing through Grunts in my way, one of them lets this slip.
He, and his Boldore and Graveler, are promptly eviscerated by Victreebel.
After him is another work area. One of the monitors has something.
"Activate it? >Yes/No"
This had better
be not be an H-game in disguise.
No effect so far of running it.
Two floors up past a hallway of horribly broken guards, I'm presented with three paths.
According to one Grunt, shortly before being thrown through a wall lungs-first, one leads to Athena's experiment chamber, another to the Master Ball storage, and a third to the exit. The one that screenshot is on appears to be towards the exit, as the top is blocked off by a moving staircase powered from the next room.
Taking a different path, I come across a break room with a rather forlorn-looking grunt.
Let's be nice to this guy.
It's not like I have anything urgent to do.
"Professor Oak. He offered me a Pokémon to go on an adventure. But I arrived too late. I got the fourth Pokémon, a disobedient Electric one. We eventually bonded but it took a long time. We fought many enemies together. We rescued legendary Pokémon, even saw myths come true in the forms of Mewtwo and Arceus. I even fell in love with a girl. A Water Gym Leader and her Starmie. We eventually got married and had a kid. But we fell on hard times. We divorced and I joined Team Olympus to make ends meet."He asks me to guess the letters of his name, which of course I already know the answer.
There's a few bits about his story that I can definitely call bullshit on, but he gives me TM68 Giga Impact, which is a physical counterpart to Hyper Beam.
By the way, I stopped watching the anime right around the start of the Johto series, right after the Orange Islands saga. What happened to Misty, exactly?
Before leaving I steal some Leftovers and a Soda Pop off the table.
The next Grunt informs me that I'm on the path heading to Athena. I want the Master Ball first, so I head back the other way.
After beating the sole guard, I pick this up.
It's awesome, holding this greatest of balls in my hand.
*snigger*What?! What did I say?!
Anyway, heading back the way I came, towards Athena, there's just one more Grunt on this floor.
Err, reading the thesaurus much?
Anyway, he sent out Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon. And they were swiftly defeated.
Actually, you're being commanded to let me pass by the Leaf Blade that Victreebel has at your throat, and would gladly cut through if not held back only by my command and the fact that it's damn hard to draw blood onto one of these screenshots.
Finally at the top, where Athena is giving a speech to her rebellious faction.
Can't they use a Master Ball like with Shaymin? Nope,
'cuz I have it!Are they like Nazis or something?
The latrine guy asks a pretty good question.
"Zeus will be with three legendary Pokémon?"It would be nice to know what Zeus plans to do with them.
"defeat!"What are you, Zeus' gestapo?
Wow, that guy might actually be a gestapo.
"Ladoga..."Trying to avoid the whole "executed for failure" thing, eh?
A goddess of wisom, she certainly is.
"legendaries?"I dunno,
four legendaries?
"Sableye is known for having no weaknesses. And Shedinja is famous for his Wonder Guard ability."I see where this is going. Hoo boy.
"As you know, Wonder Guard allows you to only take damage from a type you are weak to."Unless you do something silly, like try to punch Yamask.
"If we can fuse these Pokémon in such a way that Sableye gains the Wonder Guard ability...""Exactly! Now ready the machine!"Say, what's to stop it from telling humans to screw off?
"Akura, come out!"Oh, hey. I wasn't hiding, you know.
"Town! If you win, I'll stop this experiment!"...Honestly, I wonder what would happen if you proceeded, actually.
"me forever!"Is that you, specifically, and not Zeus? Would I get the benefit of whatever rebellion your plotting?
Hmm, could be outmatched here.
I switch to Helioptile, but Noctowl beats her down after being brought down to critical HP. I send Staraptor to take revenge, but Athena used a Full Restore. And then another. I guess it's good that she's wasting them now. A few hits from Aerial Ace later and Noctowl goes down.
For some reason, Mienshao tried to use Wide Guard, and as far as I know, that's only useful in group battles. I could be wrong, it could stop any attack that can multihit, even during one-vs-one. Either way, he's confused by Psybeam.
Mienshao used U-Turn to swap with Medicham. She's poisoned by Butterfree. Unfortunately, Butterfree got paralyzed two turns in a row by Force Palm. That's *my* move, bitch. For some odd reason, she continued to use Acupressure until finally being broght down by Gust and poison damage.
Athena sent out Mienshao again. He promptly U-Turns.
Bringing out Lucario.
Lucario failed with three Quick Guards in a row, followed by two Swords Dances, before Athena switched out with Mienshao again. For some reason, Mienshao was fully healed as well. I had Butterfree poison Mienshao, so it would stop doing that. The next turn it fell to Psybeam.
Says the woman sending out a crippled Lucario.
Which tried to use Quick Guard again. I don't know if it even knew any attack moves.
With you losing to me, or with your rebellion?
Oi, we had a deal!
Ampharos used Thunder!
It's super effective! ...apparently.
"You two... You'll pay for this! You'll never escape this room!""WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE ME?"...I don't hate you.
"Shadow Sneak!"Damn, I forgot he was supposed to be coming.
"You were out for nearly twent minutes."What? I was? (D_d)
"understand.""sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a Master Ball around here someplace."Found the Master Ball already. As for rare Pokémon, there hasn't been a single wild encounter here, so I don't know what he means.
"Anyways, I must be off. I wish you the best of luck... and I am proud to call you friend. Goodbye Akura. May we meet again.Wait, are you dying or something?
He leaves, and it's time for me to do the same. Heading back up, I make it out of the base.
And out onto Route 310, near Kivu Town. Actually, I'm right above the exit from Route 309
Well that was a fun escape. Now I've met Corlett, the Electric master of the Elite Four. I guess knowing the specialties of the Elite Four will allow me to plan ahead for them.
Let's see. Corlett is Electric, so I'm going to need a Ground-type. I guess I could build Geodude back up, but I'm sure Corlett will plan for that.
Tobias is Ghost, and Zoroark can deal with that. Morgan is Water, so Helioptile and Victreebel can do that. Wilson, Dragon, will be a problem. I suppose I could get Dratini from the Game Corner, and team it up with Lucario. And as for Mom, she used Lucario at the begining, so she's either a Fighting or Steel-type user.
Anyway, I'm just rambling about stuff in the future. For now, I should focus on getting to Mt. Press to snatch Victini away from Zeus. And, if my information is correct, snag Groudon in the process.
