Oh, I also figured out my problem with the post preview that I talked about before. It was apparently the placeholder text I was putting in to mark where I was going to put the image tags after I uploaded the screenshots.

That is because you had to level it during the day.,
Heh, I had to hold Riolu back because of this, since all the battle parts of this update took place at night.

Seriously the swag thing is hilarious... It's supposed to resemble how your rival is nothing but a punk kid addicted to the worst forms of internet culture.

It's kind of a more cultured form of slap-stick comedy.

I have no idea how I got this update done so fast. It's only about 15 minutes of play, which somehow also took about 3 hours and far too many screenshots to put together.

I don't see how an overglorified internet troll can be considered cultured comedy, honestly. Plus, slapstick doesn't really fit in with the rest of the plot.

Scraggy is a Dark / Fighting type, which is why it was weak to Gust. :)

The Togepi line is no longer as useless as it was in G/S/C. It obtained a great ability (Serene Grace) with a host of attacks that can exploit it and a generally terrible ability (Hustle) with a potential moveset of never-miss attacks to also exploit, and gained a third stage evolution (via stone) that has actually decent stats. Finally, in the last generation it became Fairy type, so should be completely immune to Dragon Rage, among other attacks.

I'm not saying you should use it, (Staravia and Butterfree already make your team flying-type-heavy) but it's no longer the box-immediately-after-hatching mascot fodder of the past.

Though, it won't have fairy type because Omicron came out before then. Still a strong pokemon without it though, but it requires a lot of work to get working, which may not be viable in a normal run through.

Also I recommend getting an ice type if you can. There's some tough dragon users that might give you trouble farther down the line.

Haven't seen any Ice-types yet. At most, I'll need a defensive advantage against Dragon-types, and Lucario has that. Of course, that won't stop Dragon Rage because of its set damage.

I don't see how an overglorified internet troll can be considered cultured comedy, honestly. Plus, slapstick doesn't really fit in with the rest of the plot.

Shakespeare whose very name is now synonymous with high culture was during his time considered a low-brow artist that the commoners appreciated because he made lots of crass innuendos. Charlie Chaplain was a huge fan of slap-stick comedy and was one of the most clever artists of the 20th century. Just watch "The Great Dictator" which is full of slap-stick and tell me I'm wrong!

Also it's a Pokemon game... Unless a player is 12 the really overblown seriousness of the plot in a game where you catch and hold animals in magical balls to have them fight each other to the point of knocking each other unconscious while a team of spandex clad 'bad guys' runs around in matching uniforms and have their ridiculously over-complicated schemes foiled by a teenager is both glaring and extremely cringe-worthy.

The whole 'swag' joke lightens the mood and is supposed to remind the player that plots for Pokemon games are not in fact meant to be 'serious business' also serving as a parody on those people taking things too seriously such as internet catch-phrases and memes.

The most intelligent and successful kind of comedy is comedy that takes something which is stupid or valueless and then through parodying it not only manages to be funny but also provide some kind of insightful commentary about the world which we live in.

Now can you say all that again... except in Omicron Swag style? :P

Though yeah my opinion is more that it is up to the Letsplayer, there is a button that turns the swag back on.

*spins cap to face the side of his head*

Swagspeare whose very name is now synonymous with high swag was during his YOLO considered a low-brow swagster that the commoners thought was boss because he made lots of totally swagalicious innuendos. Charlie Chaplain was a huge fan of swag-stick comedy and was one of the most boss artists of the swagieth century. Just watch "The Great Dictator" which is full of swag-stick and tell me I'm wrong!

Also it's a Pokemon game... Unless a player is 12 the really overblown swag of the plot in a game where you catch and hold animals in swagalicious balls to have them YOLO each other to the point of knocking each other unconscious while a team of swag clad 'bad guys' runs around in matching uniforms and have their ridiculously over-swagalicious schemes foiled by a teenager is both glaring and extremely swag-worthy.

The whole 'swag' joke lightens the swagger and is supposed to remind the player that swags for Pokemon games are not in fact meant to be 'serious swaggins' also serving as a parody on those YOLO bosses taking things too seriously such as internet swag-phrases and memes.

The most swag and boss kind of comedy is comedy that takes something which is swagalicious or YOLOtastic and then through parodying it not only manages to be funny but also provide some kind of swag commentary about the world which we swagger in.

Ohh man Hippopotmas evolves into honestly one of my favorite pokemon on design alone!

If I liked ground types more, and if he was a better pokemon for the type of teams I like to build, I'd totally have a spot on him on my team.

Non-spoiler but the game has free Mystery gifts.
