Pokemon Omicron Blind Ep 4: Rivals are really rude
« Reply #15 on: June 21, 2014, 12:39:51 pm »

To my knowledge the size limit is VERY generous (thanks to me flummoxing the old size limit with my Artifact suggestion list)
I was only asking since the Preview button showed nothing but a blank, which it did during this update except now it's not. I guess that means I can do longer updates.

Posting to watch. (although I probably shouldn't, since I haven't finished Zeta yet...)

Just what is the size limit for a post? I had to truncate the last part of this one, and originally the text file I had it on was about 6kb when the preview button didn't show anything. A 5kb block of text previewed fine, so I suppose that's the limit?

As far as I know it's just a character limit, not a size limit. Something like 40,000 characters. But if I remember correctly the posts should preview fine if you're going over the character limit. Or at least you should get a red box popping up saying that you have too many characters. Something obvious at least.

As a tip... Toss Pidgy ASAP.

The problem with Pidgy is stat wise it is a decent pokemon... but it learns mostly special attack moves (outside weak normal) while it is an attack based pokemon.

A few first generations really suffer.

Starly, meanwhile, may look like starting route trash, but actually ends up quite good.

Starly is a very effective Pokémon, yes.

Probably better than poor Pidgey, although Pidgey does evolve into one cool bird.

Yeah, once Starly evolves the pain train never stops.

Personally... If you ever find a TM for U-Turn, put it on that bird and never look back.

Perhaps not the most competitive of strategies, but you can flip flop easily during the middle of a fight while still dealing damage to your opponent.

If I'm going to box Pidgey, what should I replace it with on the team?

Hmm...

Why don't you just wait a bit and see what you catch? Leave that slot open for any new friends that may want to join you.

Looks like this will be on indefinite, possibly permanent hold due to sudden real life.
