As Alex makes eye contact with her, the girl immediately ducks behind her book, but not fast enough to cover up her embarrassed blush. She also sinks into her seat a bit as Eren comments about being watched.

[USEC_OFFICER]

The girl fidgets in her seat a bit, and then shuffles it a bit further away from everyone else. She doesn't reply or say anything though.

[SOLDIER First]

Kimiko snores quietly.

"Hey, leave her alone if she doesn't want to talk. And I said that out loud. Oops."

<As I have said before, god fucking dammit Kyle.>

Alex glances around the cafe quickly, then shoots Kyle an obvious odd look, replying to him in a slightly raised tone.
"You're a strange person, Kyle. Nobody said anything to her yet. I think you've had too many blows to the head engaging in your wrestling matches with other flamboyently dressed men."

"I don't think they're flamboyant..."
Some may remember Kyle is actually in the martial arts club.

Daoto stares at them all for a second, then rests her face on one hand.

<Idiots...>

"Alex, quiet down. Jeezus. You're raising attention; no one but the girl would have heard him and it's not like anyone would believe us anyway. Speaking of which..."

She thinks for a moment, then smiles deviously.

"Hey, you wanna join a club?" she asks, smiling at the new girl. She would look very boyish then, and very charming. Which was the point. Sorta.

[USEC_OFFICER]

Unfortunately the girl is hiding behind her book, and thus wouldn't notice Daoto's boyish charms. But it isn't needed, as she gives a small, almost imperceptible nod in response, her eyes still firmly locked on the pages in front of her as her face is red with embarrassment.

"I don't think they're flamboyant..."
Some may remember Kyle is actually in the martial arts club.

"Says the guy who dresses in a Star Spangled Skirt."

"Alex, quiet down. Jeezus. You're raising attention; no one but the girl would have heard him and it's not like anyone would believe us anyway. Speaking of which..."

Kyle gives him a weird look before getting up and leaving.

Kimiko stirs slightly.
Dammit, Alex, you're ruining her sleepytime cuteness.

"So, you're being loud, obnoxious, and a dick."

She sighs, leaving it to someone else who actually knew Kyle to talk with him. Leaning back in her chair, she projects. Might as well, no one else was apparently perceptive enough.

<You can hear us. Don't pretend you can't. We're not the voice in your head or anything. Now you can choose to probably have to transfer to another school to avoid overhearing us all the time, or you can join up. Your call.>

The girl fidgets for a bit and then... Well, joins everyone else is too strong of a word for what she does. But she picks up her chair and moves it so that she's technically at the same table as everyone else, though she'd have to get out of her seat to actually touch it. She also keeps her face safely buried in her book the entire time, so that she doesn't have to look at anyone else as she joins them. That's also the extent of her socializing for now, as she remains resolutely mute despite accepting Daoto's offer.
