Kyle stands up and looks at him before extending his hand.
"Good day."

Beryl sits down.

He reaches down to a backpack on the ground and pulls out his Soul Gem.

"Um, I guess I should properly introduce myself. I'm Beryl Mistral. I'm a foreign student from America."

"I've only been a student here for around six months, but I'm taking the foreign aid classes to learn Japanese and such. So we wouldn't have had any classes together yet."

Eren enters the cafe and sits at the magic table.

[SOLDIER First]

Kimiko nods again to Beryl's explanation.
"You already know my name, I assume.
I have attended Mitakihara for even less time than yourself. I.. look forward to having classes with you, if any."

Did she pause when she said that last bit? She did.

"Hello, Eren," she says when he sits down, slightly irritated that she can't flirt with Beryl by herself.

"And...to you, I guess. Guh. I need coffee."

She shakes his hand with a surprising lack of awkwardness, and then heads for somewhere to get food and drink. Especially drink.

"Hey"
He thinks for a moment, having never been skilled in social situations.
"How was Daoto doing after I left?"

[SOLDIER First]

"Okay."

Kyle heads to the cafe which is probably the place Dao is heading.

"I'm sure we will once I can integrate into the regular classes."

Turns his attention to Eren.

"Hello, Eren-san."

Beryl then turns his gaze to his Soul Gem which he turns slightly on the table and watches how the light his it.

"I found this when I woke up this morning. Is this my wish?"

[SOLDIER First]

"That is your Soul Gem, actually. You need it to use your magical form."

"Does she still hate my guts? Or did you convince her otherwise?"
"That's your soul gem. Basically a magical battery."
He pulls his out of his pocket
"You're lucky. My 'gem' is just a rock"

Beryl looks at the gem and frowns.

"That makes sense... but isn't it a bit bulky to try and carry discretely?"

"Pockets man, they make everything better."

[EmeraldWind]

Beryl frowns again.

"This thing is the size of tennis ball and I tried to leave it in my dorm... but I couldn't bare to not have it on me."

"Just put it in a backpack pocket. That ought to hold it nicely."
