Aiko closes her soul gem into her hands and changes into magic form. She searches around for the labrynith entrance, ignoring Hikari.

"Aiko-san!"

She stops and turns towards her.

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"What are you doing?"

[PrivateNomad]

"Destroying the scum of this world. What are you doing?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"......I cannot allow you to exert so much strength, Aiko-san. Please, rest." Hikari is pleading.

[PrivateNomad]

"I can still fight."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"I do not want you to be hurt." Hikari looks serious.
"I know that you desire revenge, Aiko-san. But....you can't hurt yourself trying to get it. I don't want to see you hurt."

[PrivateNomad]

"Then help me. We can kill this witch and grow even stronger so that we can save lives."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"We can fight the Witch in the morning, Aiko-san. With everyone. I know it sounds unacceptable....but if we fight alone- without the aid of Mami-senpai, Kyoko-senpai or any of the others, and we die.....then we will simply have let the Witch kill more people and we cannot save others by our own deaths."

Daoto keeps staring at Kyubey as her spine begins to itch...then hurt...and then burn, the pain spreading through her limbs as she cries out, falling to her knees. She tries to look back over her shoulder and finds she can't move her neck far enough.

The pain is so intense as to be overwhelming, and her mind feels pressured, the typical mental comfort of the thing attached to her growing like a tumor, pushing down on her consciousness. She struggles to stay awake, falling and catching herself on one arm, and as she looks at it, she can see her skin writhing as though filled with worms, and the metal usually only found on her spine is stretching out, a tendril along the inside of her upper arm.

Her eyes roll up in the back of her head and she passes out from the pain before she can vomit, twitching and jerking as the machine spreads itself through her body.

Aiko looks down and sighs, reverting her form.
 "I guess you're right."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

Hikari hugs her tightly.
"I want to save lives, to fight the Witches. But....I don't want to lose a friend doing so."

Aiko nods.
 "..Yes. I am sorry for making you worry."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"You don't need to be. I can understand." Hikari sounds as if she knows what Aiko went through....before producing a cake.
"Aiko-san, would you like a piece of cheesecake?"
