Beryl slaps he hand on the back of his book. Raises his index finger to his forehead and taps it.

<This is telepathy isn't it. In that case, Eren-er um... Eren-san and Kimi... Hi... Hikaru-san. I always get tripped up by the honorfics... I'm Beryl.

[Again_Dejavu]

<Alright. So there's this weird magical cat thing that grants wishes, called Kyubey. He decided you have potential. Its his magic that let's us use telepathy.>

[SOLDIER First]

<Please do not broadcast that again.
...yes, that is the blunt way to put it, Eren.>

Daoto sniffed, tears stopping as she looked up in confusion. There was no one in the room, right? She stood up unsteadily, still weary from crying, and checked the other bed, and in the closet, to make sure there was no one there. No one was, of course.

<What the-?

Her sadness was forgotten in the wake of curiosity that followed this, and she wondered briefly if she was going insane, if the disease had started attacked her brain, before dismissing the idea. It was a pointless line of inquiry, only useful for inducing panic in herself. Dozens of other possibilities flickered through her mind, and she evaluated each one in turn, dismissing or storing it for future examination as necessary. The most likely, she thought, was a prank, or the support skeleton attached to her body. She didn't really know what it was capable of, after all, and it was linked directly to her brain and nervous system; why wouldn't it be able to make her hear something if it wanted? But how to respond to learn more?

"H-hello? Is anybody there?"
<H-hello? Is anybody there?"

I feel like I just found my way into the plot of an anime. And now more voices...

Alex bolts upright from a hunched over position at a desk in the corner, an ink-smudge on one cheek where it had been resting on an open notebook.
<Hey, what's going on? That wasn't nice! I was having a good dream about turtles and cake and raining acid from above upon my enemies!>

((Headcanon real quick: Daoto only heard Kyle the first time. She's not the best with telepathy. Still hasn't heard Beryl at all, and missed part of the other guys after my post, but she is starting to hear more(as the armor, as I will call it for simplicity's sake, adapts).))
