Daoto fiddles with her support machinery, trying to get it into a comfortable position for sleeping tonight. She's in a smaller, co-ed dorm set aside from most of the others, used by students with special needs, or can be trusted not to take advantage of a co-ed dorm(and care about it enough to want one). She sighs, looking in the mirror at the black, exposed metal. The slick covering had retracted to allow her to try and rearrange it more comfortably. She was starting to have trouble running again...she'd have to talk to someone about that soon.

The girl was startled out of her thought process by a pounding on the door. "Are you almost done in there, Maiansake-san!? Some of us have to pee!"

She hurriedly buttons her shirt back up, not having enough time to rebind her breasts, and not caring enough to bother for the moment. The smooth covering slid back over the device following her spine, to keep from catching, and she unlocked the bathroom door, a rueful expression on her face.

"Sorry, Yatoro-san, all yours now," she says, letting the somewhat shorter boy push past her, as she exited the room and made her way to her bunk. It was so slow here. Nothing seemed to happen quickly, like she needed it to...at this rate, would she manage to do anything before she died? The girl pulled the blankets around herself in her room, shared with only one person, the only person who knew just how strange the device that sustained her life and let her move around like anyone else, was.

The girl who looked like a boy sat on her bed alone in the dark, and wept at the cruelty of life.

Kyle walks through the dorms thinking. He wonders about the telepathy thing before trying it.
<Yo, anyone who hasn't jeard my voice before?>

<Huh?>

Beryl looks up from the book that he's reading and pushes his glasses up his nose.
He scans the room for a second before going back to his book.

<Nah, it couldn't be. That doesn't make sense.>

[SOLDIER First]

Beryl starts in his chair and his book drops on the floor.

He glances around the room again seeing that no one seems to have said anything to him. He nervously scratches his head before reach down to pick up his book.

<Ugh, maybe I need to get some sleep instead of reading.>

<There is no harm in reading a good book. May I ask who I am speaking with?>

Beryl starts again and slips forward off his chair landing on his face.

He quickly looks around and once again sees no one talking to him.
He picks up his book and smooths the creased page and places a card in between the pages.
He looks around again with a slight frown on his face. Then he taps his forehead with his index finger.

Umm, did somebody just say something?


<Why do I have this odd feeling of deja vu all the sudden?>

<I am assuming I am not actually supposed to know that. I ask again, who am I speaking with?>

<This is where a cool person would say that it is polite to give your name before asking someone theirs... however I can't seem to tell who's talking to me. Maybe they're throwing their voice to mess with me...>

Beryl continues to look around slightly unnerved, but tilting his head from side to side slowly.
