Weak Attacks: A weak attack causes base damage, but is harder to dodge.

Strong Attacks: A strong attack causes double damage, but are easier to avoid.

Special Attacks: A special attack is usually an AoE that does triple damage. These use Soul limit to cast. Best not use them much.

When doing an action involving a stat, roll 1dX where X is the relevant stat. If two rolls come out equal, re-roll.

Health:

This stat represents your vitality. It grants you 3 hitpoints per point in this stat. Contributes your Soul limit stat.

Speed:

How fast you are. This stat is used for dodging, but also for chases and of course when the GM feels now is an appropriate time to use it. When you are dodging multiple enemies in succession, you gain a penalty of -1 on each successive dodge. This penalty resets between hits. Dodging AoE attacks get's a penalty of -2 per size category.

Skill:

How good you are at aiming, timing your attacks or counter-attacking. This skill contributes to any kind of crafting, I.E. Handi-crafts, cooking, gardening.

Strength:

How good you are at dealing unarmed damage. This stat also determines how heavy of an object your character can lift and carry.
This stat also contributes to your Characters Soul Limit.

Defence:

How good you are at minimizing damage to you by armor bypassing attacks. This stat contributes to your characters Soul Limit.

Soul Limit:
Soul Limit is only used when a character enters into their magical form. Each turn the form is active, the Soul limit begins to drain at roughly 1 point per turn. Soul limit is used in a couple of things. When a player hits 0 Soul limit, that character becomes a Witch based on their personality, likes and dislikes, as well as the memory of where they are when they become a witch. Soul limit can also be used to regenerate HP, so long as the character does not attack and is not attacked the next turn. They are healed to full and their Soul limit loses points equal to the HP recovered. Soul limit does not recover over time. To restore soul limit, a Magical girl must speak with Kyubey and turn the lost Soul Limit into a Grief Tear. Grief Tears can be turned into Grief seeds by accumulated enough Tears to equal 1000 Soul Limit. The resulting Grief Seed is equal to the current level of the creator.

Combat innitiative is determined by the speed stat. When you attack someone, you roll skill vs the targets speed, if you rolled higher, you hit. Damage is calculated by you rolling your weapons STR vs the enemies armor's DEF. If an attack by passes armor, then roll Weapons STR vs Enemies DEF.

When a character's Hp falls below 20%, they become injured and for every 3 damage dealt to an injured character, their Soul limit takes 1 point of damage. Should someones health fall to 0, that character dies.

Equipment is used to determine damage dealt to an opponent, or the damage prevented from an attack.

Equipment can be upgraded by using Grief Points to upgrade them.

Equipment perks are determined by the GM, and will usually be useful.

Spoiler: Abilities (click to show/hide)

Abilites are the Magical Girl's form of attacking.
Each magical girl has 2 starting abilities, A weak attack and a Strong attack. Later on, Magical Girls can gain a Special attack.

Weak- Weak attacks are usually a physical attack made with the Magical Girls weapon of choice or with an ability. An example is Sayaka's Sword, or Mami's ribbon.

Strong- Strong attacks are skills used by Magical girls. An example is Modaka's Crystal arrow, or Homura and Mami's Weapon Draw.

Special- Special skills are abilities that rely on the Soul Limit of a magical girl to cause unique effects. An example is Homura's Time stop, or Kyoko's Gem Barrier. Beware: Using a special skill will drain the Soul limit so use Sparingly.

Weak and Strong attacks can be earned by Hitting the highest number in your skill roll. For example, Mami, who has a skill of 15, rolls a 15 on her next skill check, thus earning her Ribbon Slash.

Spoiler: Grief Seeds, Points, and Tears (click to show/hide)

Grief seeds are aquired by defeating Witches. The team that captures the Seed will gain Grief Points equla to the Seeds level that they can use to buy perks, abilities, weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, shield upgrades, and Soul limit upgrades. A Grief Seeds level is determined by the Defeated Witches level.

Grief tears are created when a Magical girl has her Soul Limit replenished by Kyubey. The amount restored is the power of the resultant Grief tear. A grief Seed can be created when enough Grief Tears are brought together to total 1000 malice.

Description: Aiko is a blind girl with short snow white hair and pale blue eyes. She wears a blue butterfly ornament on her hair. She has a slim form, and is 5'9" in height.

Aiko was born blind as an only child with no father, her mother sweet and caring. One day, her mother committed suicide while Aiko was 9, by jumping off a building, having been kissed by an unknown witch. She was put into an orphanage where she continued to grow up, shying away from social life and adjusting to living with her disability.

Personality: She is shy, but will do what she must to protect those that she loves.

Likes: She likes animals, and takes an interest in technology such as weaponry.

Dislikes: She doesn't like social interaction much.

Typically, she doesn't make friends. But those that saw her outside would not be able to tell that due to people always bugging her about their problems. She has a good intuition, but
enjoys playing pranks on people.

Description/Personality: Secretive and tricky. Typically more likely to hide her strengths than show them off. Obfusticates clumsiness when not around anything important. Despite this, pretty kind. Generally speaks her mind when not lying. Gretchen has large, red eyes which draw most peoples' attention. Her dark black hair would be thick and wavy if she didn't cut it so short; it's maybe a centimeter, tops, possibly half that. She is pretty thin, especially at the waist. Gretchen wears blacks and blues, often both colors at once, as well as several bracelets (not all at once, but usually not only one or two at once either). Gretchen was born to a fairly well-off family. She always had too much free time, a lot of which was spent with her older brother. Dan wasn't a good influence. While Gretchen never got into the kind of trouble her brother did, she does enjoy causing mischief. Despite this, Gretchen is a kind girl when people or certain kinds of animals get involved, and she always tries to stop her mischief before people actually get hurt; these are due to the more gentle influence of her father, a Christian who tries to raise his children to be moral and disciplined, which was more successful with each child. In contrast, her mother was often at work or something, and when at home her standards were high; this, in turn, lead Gretchen to work hard at her studies.
At school, Gretchen mostly stuck to her own group of friends, including a few other girls who enjoyed her general sense of humor. Gretchen was typically the one who kept the group on the less dark side; the others were either more shy or more apathetic. Aside from this group, she hung out with some sort-of nerds; while she didn't initially like them much more than anyone else, she wasn't as good a student as she thought her mom would want her to be, and so studied with them. It was here that she picked up her enjoyment of science fiction and certain select sciences.
Not quite a year ago, Daniel enlisted in the army*; this was an emotional time for Gretchen, due to her close relationship with her brother.
