THe ability is a completely seperate thing from the attacks.

In mia's case, She got weapon draw: Throwing knives.

Her attacks are she either throws them in a pair, or Throws many of them at a multitude of targets. She also inflicts poison with each of her Throwing knives, which the poison stacks. So 1d4 becomes 2d4 becomes 3d4 and so on and so on.

Yeah, I listed a weapon draw as my heavy. I kind of want to retool some things with my attacks/ability to fit together better with my character now that I have a better understanding of what they are. My weak attack is pretty much perfect except I might put a better description for it.

Description: Beryl is the kind of person that really doesn't stand out of in crowd even though he is tall for his age. Beryl always slouches a bit when in public so oftentimes his height isn't apparent. Not one for fashion he always makes due with blue jeans and a t-shirt when dressing casually. Beryl wears glasses and his eyes and hair match his favorite color as is common for anime characters.

Beryl lived far away from the boarding school and grew up in an area surrounded by hills and forests. Spending time along the river or wandering the woods was his favorite way to unwind. He was close with his family in particular his younger sister who bounced between friend and arch enemy like most siblings do. Beryl's life was peaceful for the most part, but in school he had a lot of trouble dealing with bullies. Then one day his sister simply disappeared never to be seen again. Beryl was alone at home and bullied at school. Beryl was becoming extremely stressed in this environment and even considered suicide. Beryl was not a kind of person to kill himself and he resisted the temptation. His grades were high enough that any school would want him, so he decided it was time for a change.

Personality: Beryl is quiet and never approaches other people in conversation. He is imaginative and loves to read in his spare time. He never had many friends, but has a strong sense of loyalty to the people he considers friends. He is the kind of person that goes out of the way to help people. He doesn't readily trust others though because of years of bullying. He's calm and logical, but prone to following his heart. Beryl often tries to understand other people's way of thinking. Even if he doesn't agree with someone, he will respect their opinion. He does have limits though when it comes to that. He dislikes deceitfulness and holds honor in high regard. He isn't quick to be anger or stressed and has a high level of patience.

Ability: Wind Step- Beryl can ride wind currents by changing into air or by temporarily solidifying air. In theory, Beryl can use any air current to do this but they do have to be strong enough to carry him when he changes into air. Air wakes from attacks can provide a strong enough current. He can also be diverted off course in cases of failure.

Weak Attacks: Wind Step Combo- Beryl throws his staff at an enemy (usually behind it) then uses its wake to transport to the the staff and solidifies(such that he is mid strike) and attacks the enemy.  (He could also pull this off using an ally's weapon's wake, but still uses his staff for the attack.)

Strong Attacks: Wind Enchant- Beryl can create a blade of enchanted wind on his staff effectively turning into a bladed weapon of his choice for a single powerful attack. (Javelins, spear, halberd, two-handed sword).

Special Attacks: [NA]

I decided against a weapon draw ability and played more toward wind based attacks.

Yeah, but at the same time you never know. It doesn't hurt to check.

Also, does anyone else think that this story just kind of had a very unnerving spin of mood whiplash.

I mean if I was watching this as an anime. We had the defeat of the witch, two more characters join both with ominous events when they made their wishes, then the two characters that separated from the group are last seen getting ready to battle in a labyrinth... then we cut to a rather goofy breakfast with only the vaguest mentioning of the two missing characters.

I would be on the edge of my seat wondering what happened.
