"Oooh, good point, I only won 'cause you did. Hmm. Maybe we should make Vito get cake. Then we can give him and Pel some too."

[Kelsper]

"I would be most fine with that. Speaking of, has Vito pulled his own weight himself yet?"

Alastair gestured over to Branen.

"Boss, how did I do, then?"

Pelageya accepted Alastair's help getting up, smiling despjte herself.
:"Heheh... Good fight. And honestly, I dunno why everyone acts like I'm super good at fighting, cause I KNOW all of you are JUST as capable as I am. ...'sides, I was just being a tricky 'lil bitch, 'cause I figured axes are great fighting lances, right, so guaranteed victory. Guess you proved me wrong!"

[Kelsper]

"Aye, it's okay, lass. Still, lances can be effective against axes. I wouldn't want anyone thinking I'm always going to lose to you, heh-heh." said Alastair, smirking.

[Lucus Casius]

The swordsman stands, stretching his arms and giving a deep, exaggerated sigh.

"It seems fortuna is a fickle mistress.  The day Signor Allie listens to my advice if only a bit is the day he costs me a fine zuccotto."

He shrugs, resting one hand on his hip and the other on the hilt of his sword.

"Ah well.  Such is life, no?"

"Now, as to that comment about pulling my weight..."

[Kelsper]

"You wouldn't happen to have taken offense to my comment, would you, Vito, friend?"

[Powder Miner]

:"Hey Vit, I wanna watch you spar with someone."

[Lucus Casius]

"Hmph.  Gladly, if the Signore wishes it."

[Kelsper]

"Absolutely. I'd like to see yourself in action, since you seem to be willing to give me advice, after all, maestro."

[Lucus Casius]

"I meant il condottiero, but if you truly wish, I see little cause to refuse."

He draws his weapon and takes his stance, sword held in a hanging guard.  He flashes a cocky grin at his fellow mercenaries as he inclines his head toward the horseman, speaking in an exaggerated tone.

"Come then! You may have the advantage of reach, but no mere spearman can best the blade of Vito Gaspari!  Strike, if you dare!"

[Kelsper]

"Hah. I was not saying you need fight with myself either, sir, perhaps you'd still prefer a fight with the boss, but if you're so willing, then I guess I could go for another round!"

[Lucus Casius]

He lowered his blade, still smiling.

"Hm.   That also would be suitable.  Blade against blade.  A much more suitable challenge than myself attempting to charge against a spearman with no allowances for strategia."

He glances at the group's leader, awaiting his suggestion.

[Kelsper]

"Perhaps better. I think I've had all the exercise I need today. Plus, I wouldn't want to harm the great Vito Gaspari, after all." Alastair chuckled to himself.

He lowered his lance, and stood over by Pelageya and Sadie.

"All I care for now is my promised dessert and a good kip."

"I'm looking forward to dessert, myself."
