Perhaps a touch lengthy, but I propose Pickman's Model, by H.P. Lovecraft.

Or we could do this as a sequential thing!

So person A reads the first twenty lines, then person B...

That sounds like a lot of fun, actually. We should do that.

Or a Bay12 radio play.  Assign character roles.  Maybe not the best idea.  Or potentially epic.  I'm not sure.

...SalmonGod, you are a genius.

It'd be hell to work on, but if somebody writes a script (Because god knows I couldn't), I'd be more than willing to play a character.

I would totally be down for that. If you ever need ridiculous stereotypical African accents, just call on me, and I'll send them along.

I'd be up for it, but I'm curious as to how it's supposed to be done without a ridiculous amount of work.

I also deem myself to have a wide range of voices, so that's a plus. (The one I sampled is my regular voice for English, spoken slowly for clarity.)

I thought I already replied to this. Huh.

Anyway, I'll try and do that sometime, though it might be a while before I get enough time to myself to read that aloud in its entirety.

I'm not sure what archetype I might fill, but I made a recording of me reading Lovecraft's Memory. I stumbled over a few words, but overall I think I did fairly well. Excuse the background noise; I only have a crappy built in laptop mic.

You sound like a less enthusiastic Vincent Price with shit recording quality.
