So there is a little stoppage in history.
If you all don't mind I'll post Dhoor journal - first year at Harvestcoast.
Disclaimer: my english is very rusty;) yet Dhoor isn't some kind of "man of letters" so I think it'll be in character (as long as it's understandable;) )

Harvestcoast Outpost
Year 151
15th Granite 151 - Harvestcoast
It's first day I've finally got some time to write - as Master told us "It's not enough to train your arm to swing hard, couse when the green scum chops half of your head off (and it's going to happen, sooner or later, believe me) what remains has to be enough for the rest of your pitiful lives" - so here it is, excersise for my noddle: writing.
When the new expedition was announced all eight dwarves where presented to the Queens Council (and Guards, and recruits, including me). None of these "settlers to be" lokked strong enough to defend himself (maybe expect except the one called Benev, there was something strange in him). I was sure, that they won't make it to the next spring and, to my surprise, I volunteered. To my great surprise, I got Queens Guard Recruitment Master official permission and it was first time when one of the recruits was allowed to leave for the new outpost as far as I know. Soon after that we met our Expedition Leader Zaerosz. And I have to admit, that he lokked suprised when he saw nine dwarfs ready to go with him. Almost like he was excepting expecting to go all alone on that journey. Just before we left strange, pale child gave me a simple note on the piece of torn off Queens Guard Official Report Paper. Two words "Nalish damel". And I know what it means...
Since then, time was passing really fast. I didn't excepted that farming can be so tiring but it's good work, it keeps arms strong when there is no time to practice with my axe. Time to find some place to sleep.

It looks like I'm going to participitate in making my own armor. Zaerosz assigned me to smelting iron bars. It's nice job, (better then farming I guess), and sometimes I meet with Houn when I go down to get some ore. She's really beutiful pretty skilled dwarf. And I mean that she swings that pick really beut neatly. It's good to look at such profesional at work. "Queens Guard can always learn something while watching other dwarves work, even those egghead clerks and managers can teach you something" that's what Master said once. And I think I will have to watch Houn for a long time. The pose she's taking just before swing, the strenght in her strikes.. or her braids - those are really thick, strong, dwarven hairs, yet she always manages to not get them between her pick and rock she's hitting. Not every recruit managed to achieve that with an axe and his beard!

7th Malachite 15 - Harvestcoast
Seven new dwarves got here yesterday. They had nothing interesting to say about Mountainhome. It's almost like nothing changes there, frozen, since our Good Queen took her reign.
By the way, I was hoping to get some kind of message and I got nothing...

Last day Houn mined some marble. She' most skilled miner I've ever met. I spent my whole breaks with her. It was lovely very informative time. It looks like using pick isn't as simple as it seems to be. Amount of stuff one has to remember to not get ceiling on ones had is huge. And she was covered almost entirely in the white marble dust, she looked adorable very professional.
23th Moonstone
There was some time since my last entry. New migrants arrived, liason and caravan from Mountainhome. Not a single word for me... and I don't care.
Master wouldn't be pleased. "As a Queens Guard, if you are ever going to be one, you will be dovoted only to Our Queen. You will never have any desires beyond Our Good Queens needs. But you have to prove you are worth it!" he said.
Many things happend. As honest, self disciplined dwarf I have to admit to myself that I'm not watching Houns work to improve my axedwarvenship or to admire her patience and skill. And being "worthy enough" isn't my pair of shoes neither. I am in love starting to care more about Houn then any other dwarf. Yes, she's really special and if I'm ever going to fulfil someones desires I'm sure that those won't be our Queens desires.

I killed it. A kobold. It was strange feeling. All those years of trainig in Mountainhome yet i didn't ever killed anything. That kobold looked almost like a big hedgehog and was barely moving at all, Benev got it few times with his bolts before I took the final blow...
Nalish Damel - forever loyal. Maybe it's all about safety of our new outpost. I excepted expected some secret orders, mysterious tasks to perform but maybe it's that simple.
Defend them. You volunteered. That is your secret order. Defend your new home.
Defend the ones you care about.
