Here we are at the slightly ominous IMF bank.

Yay! Something everyone liked!

And then a Crisis...

Well we couldn't avoid this forever. What shall we do? Forgive the death squad like Francisco wants, or prosecute them for their crimes?

Reopen? Francisco is a fool - does he not hear the raw grief in the voice of the people? These wounds never closed, and they never will close if we ignore the necessity of justice. Prosecute, prosecute, prosecute. Francisco has consistently taken the side of the counter-revolution here. We need to show the people (the group that really matters here) that we are prepared to carry the revolution, and to Francisco that his reluctance will not be heeded.

Infinite wrath, and infinite despair?

Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the Hell I suffer seems a Heaven.

Well, don't come crying when those guards form a right-wing militia backed by the US, communist scum.

As representative of National Stability, I'm going to give in now, but any prosecution should be limited.

I say we should prosecute the guards, for who knows what will happen if we let them just blend in with society.

The Farsante Guard has been placed under arrest!

Mmm... Salt...

And another Crisis... Of course.

Well we actually don't have an option as our agriculture minister agrees with the protesters. So...

Well apparently we're now committed to a program of land reform. The papers' opinions are mixed.

So ends that series of crises (for now). Should we get to work on land reform? Should we meet the head of the arrested Guard? A visit to the American embassy probably wouldn't go amiss. Or we could always meet with a Minister. It also might be good to meet with cotton and coffee producers, or the industrialist/trade unionist to begin setting economic policy. The army might need attention too, it is still split between our friend the Sub-Comandante and Colonel Ehrlich.

Have we not heard the passionate voice of the people? They cry for justice, and so we should see to land reform first -- but I have growing concerns about our military. We should, barring unforeseen obstacles, get to work with Ehrlich.

Francisco's ominous judgment does not intimidate us; we have already seen the nature of his character. It is obvious he is reluctant to advance justice, the will of the people. He quails in the storm of the revolution, like a reed. He will fly away or grow roots in this new soil.

Colonel time!

Well this is pretty straightforward. It doesn't look like the Reconciliation Army is going to hold together. The Colonel and Sub-Comandante are at each others throats. And each one wants our support as they proceed to do what 'needs to be done'. Or we can always just add this to the Agenda.

The army must be subordinated to the civil government. The people are sovereign, and any threats by the army are threats against the revolution itself.

The die is cast. Off to meet with the Sub-Comandante to cement the removal of Colonel Ehrlich.

Aaaand another Crisis.

Wait we have factories? I mean um yes should we support the unionists by giving them the right to strike, or support the very NUMEROUS and QUITE PROFITABLE factory owners in suppressing these pinkos?

Support the factory owner. We have a power base in the campesinos anyway, and our currency reserve are falling.

If we allow the unionists to strike, to organize, then I trust that we will be better off. Was it not the previous regime that restricted the freedom of the people and brought itself its very death?

We must allow the workers the freedom to work with us for the betterment of the nation.

I agree with lijacote. We need to defend the worker's freedom to work with us. This mean preventing those squabbling unions from declaring strike for any stupid reasons.
