What? What kind of revolutionary IS Francisco? No, the market must be subservient to the People! Go with Manuel Calderon, not this... counter-revolutionary fool!

Francisco is not a revolutionary. Mmmmh, hard to reach True Balance is hard to reach on that one. Well, since we went with the reactionaries last time, I vote we agree with Manuel.

Price controls activate!

The newspapers don't seem to like the price controls very much. Even the leftist paper stresses that our next priority should be boosting food production.

The Americans sent us a telegram.

What? Colonel Horacio Ehrlich, the commander of the Chimerican Army both after and before the revolution has gone behind our back to secure American military aid. This could be trouble, and regardless he is overstepping his authority by contacting foreign nations.

We have a couple options right now. We could work on the food crisis by meeting with Manuel again, or even a common farmer or shopkeeper. Or we could meet with the US Ambassador, Colonel Horatio, or the Sub-Commandante of our military who was formerly the head of the guerrilla forces. Or some other third thing because there are certainly no shortages of problems in Chimerica!

Meet with the sucommandante. As Goebbels used to say, guns are better than butter anyway.

We must secure the well-being of the people. If we lose the support of the people, then military force will be nothing more than petty tyranny. If we are usurped yet are loved by the people, we will be returned to power. We should meet the common farmer, and see that needs are met.

I'll give it a bit, and if there's no deciding vote either way I'll flip a coin. Because that's how political decisions are made in Chimerica.

Agreed. It is more important that we take care of the people first.

So we have three options here.
1) We can accept the farmer's proposal to make food producers the primary recipient of loans from our National Bank.

2) We can accept Manuel's suggestion of dividing the resources between the farmers and the producers of export crops (still a change from the current system of all credit going to cash crop producers)

3)We can put this item on the Agenda meaning that we can take it back to other Ministers. This would allow us to consult National Stability, who would likely recommend giving less to food producers and more to cash crop producers.

Do export crop producers truly need our help, and if so, to what end? No, I say no to that. Our priorities lie with the people, and so we should look to feeding them before pulling profit from the soil of our motherland. We must carry the revolution to the end, and that includes allowing food producers the dignity they deserve.

We will save in importing food, and we will have gained loyalty with the farmers.

If there are no further objections we'll accept the farmer's proposal?

Some cryptic threats from Manuel. Come on man, don't be upset. We're just continuing the revolution you started!

Time to meet the Sub-Comandante!

Alright so both he and our defense minister suggest stopping the shipments of military aid from the US. While this would be perfectly within our office as Presidente, it will likely upset America, Colonel Ehrlich, and Popular Stability.

Our only other option is the add the item to our Agenda, to either get input from Popular Stability or to put off the decision in order to meet with the American Ambassador and/or Colonel Ehrlich. Once again the choice is yours.

Well, since you guys are bloody communist, in the interest of True Balance I'll defend National Stability. However, in this case, we need a strong president. But we're not going to agree with those pesky National Liberation type, agree with the sub-commander instead.

You've made the Sub-Comandante a happy man

And Gloria a very happy Commie.

But you've also made America a very cranky superpower.

We only have two options here, because this is a Crisis and not an Encounter we cannot simply put this on the Agenda. We can either stay the course and piss off the States, or we can fold to pressure.
