The Nomad fires at the base of the east tentacle, freeing Kaiser.
[19] Autohit! No damage! The Nomad's gun fires once more, its shells impacting against the tentacle but doing no significant damage. The hide on these limbs is quite thick, apparently making them resistant to high-powered weaponry. Some of the time, at least.
Kaiser pulls back as he creates a Gauss rifle.
[19 - 6] Success! -10 mana -5 mana! Despite being locked up in the clutches of a tentacle, Kaiser manages to craft a Gauss rifle. Now if only he had a chance to use it.
Send another spike at North person.
Autohit! [8] damage! -5 mana Isaac's policy of killing innocent people continues, though he's less than successful this time as his target manages to survive the spike.
Protect the people!
-3 SP Three tentacles reach out to grab some of the few remaining people powering the magic circle, their coils wrapping around them tightly in a protective cocoon. One of those people includes Dalia, which will make rescuing her even more difficult in the future.
Strike Isaac.
[7] vs [12] Miss! [7] vs [14] Miss! Two tentacles try their luck at striking Isaac, but he proves to be too slippery for them and easily dodges their attacks. Which is a good thing, seeing as his mana won't last forever.
Crush Kaiser.
Autohit! [8] damage! -3 mana! The tentacle wrapped around Kaiser squeezes tighter and tighter, trying to crush the person that's interfering with the magic circle. It has a long way to go before it can succeed at that, however.
More tentacles!
More tentacles start to push up from the portal, though it'll be a while before they can actually do anything.
Activate!
The first pictures and video of the Nomad firing upon the rec center start to circulate on social media. Obviously everyone is confused as to what is exactly happening, but the general reaction is negative. After all, why would their peaceful little community be attacked like this? Eventually the regular media will pick up on this, and after them the military... The return trip to Australia might be a bit rough.
