"Yeah, there's not much to do around here."

"Yes... Goodnight,  Alucard."
Ashley stands, and walks into the lab.

Alucard smiles and waves.
 "Good night, Ashley," he says before retreating to his bedroom once she leaves. He climbs into his simple cot and lays down, his open eyes fixated on the dark ceiling in restlessness.

Ashley walks into the familiar sight of the lab, its slick white walling and flooring gleaming in the fluorescent light shining from the ceiling. The sight of many of Alucard's experiments and Winry's machinations greet her.

"I know what you mean. Shouldn't there be tours or something? We are official guests, right? I guess we could always head out into the city by ourselves, but that seems kinda... Boring. But that's mostly because I have no idea what you can actually do in the city. There's a lot of people here, they must have stuff they do for fun..."

"Ok, Tobias"

Ashley looks for anything of interest. Something that sticks out.

"I know what you mean. Shouldn't there be tours or something? We are official guests, right? I guess we could always head out into the city by ourselves, but that seems kinda... Boring. But that's mostly because I have no idea what you can actually do in the city. There's a lot of people here, they must have stuff they do for fun..."

"I did see one of their plays. Plenty of special effects.

If they don't force us into doing anything, want to go get breakfast? I still have some money on hand."

Ashley looks for anything of interest. Something that sticks out.

By pulling out a drawer, she finds a book locked with magic.
She also sees:
a ring of metallic piping, with complex electric and magic circuitry in the center of the ring,
a prism which seems to send out a spectrum of different magics when held to light,
Alucard's portable hole, folded neatly on his workbench,
and an oil lamp, with a thaumogram hooked to it.

"I dunno. We were going to try and skip the ball tonight and go into town, weren't we? But I guess that I could go this morning too. It's not like I have anything better to do after all. Plus I haven't had breakfast either, so..." Dalia shrugs and adds, "And what was that about a play? It almost sounds kinda interesting."

Ashley tries to both identify the magic on the book, and the different magic the prism produces.

Its warding magic that prevents it from being opened.
As for the prism, different colors of light seems to produce different effects. Red is fire, blue is cold, yellow is lightning, purple is teleportation, etc.

Ashley touches the purple.

Her finger seems to warp in space.

"It was basically a live action movie.

Bar any interference, I'll be going to get breakfast shortly, and since I raided the castle kitchen last night, they might not serve anything. Coming?"
