Kaiser sits on top of the stairs, looking at her with concern.

"I won't d-do anything to y-you... I p-promise."

Her voice waivers from trying to stay calm.

Bartimaeus laughs and flies up into the air, circling around the couch.

"Why can't Void just enter creation? The sultanes are already here, I'm sure it won't affect too much. Oooh, let me guess - some shit about the void being inbalanced, blah blah?"

An armored hand closes around Bartimaeus' neck from seemingly no where.

Bartimaeus shrouds himself with void magic to eat at whatever is grabbing him.

 "Is that you Aedan? Fucking around as always, while my former master and every other sultane are going to destroy the cosmos?"

Kyle emerges the rest of the way from the hole smiling in a way that says he isn't happy.

The gauntlet is being constantly covered in air and does not get eaten away.

Bartimaeus teleports away.
"Better come and get me!" he yells from outside.
