How come every plotline seems to have to do with the Void?

Or at the very least, every 'end-of-the-world' plotline?

Why can't there be some Creation dudes that have the means and the motivation to effectively end life as we know it?

Maybe one of them's actually trying to cause a meta vacuum instability event or something.

For that matter, there should be more plots where the people trying to kill the PCs aren't trying to end the world, they're just, ya know. In the way and/or trying to kill the PCs and/or trying to end something smaller than the world.

Maybe someone decides they don't like Kyle's castle, for example.

Those plots are also a lot more dramatic since the PCs can fail without the game ending, thus meaning there is, in fact, a chance at failure.
((Because the people running half the plots cued up helped write stuff about the void. So it's easier for them to write about since they know more about it.

It's easier to write and rope people into. In other words, people are lazy.

I'm hoping that would happen. Or that they'd do some sort of false flag against the void and in actual fact, the masterminds are creation who simply seek to start a war that they may gain something from.

Can't, those are self-limiting in this setting, as in, the realms actively stop those from ruining everything forever.

There are plenty of things that may want to kill half the party, so yes, there probably should be more.

I presume things other than laws of physics and various governments? :P

Agreed.))

((He's got two weak spots: shipping related stuff, and cookies. Queue people screwing with him.))
((Right, if anyone wants to kill him off during their plot, have an enemy launch a cargoship full of cookies at him.))

Stella finally stops struggling through the time distortion, and turns around and pulls a portable espresso machine from her satchel.

"Coffee anyone?"

((thinking Stella should introduce (cant remember his name but the dragonknight) to the council, well re-introduce, then he will at least have a chance, although he would have a better one in Stella's world, the dragons are more integrated there))

"You shouldn't just drink tea and coffee, who knows how long this time distortion will last, you need to stay properly hydrated."

"But I didn't get any tea,"

Stella gulps down three liters of water anyway to shut up ICARUS, then keeps making coffee

Garrett follows her in.

"This is not... great. I just got out of the last one."

Kaiser decides to try some coffee, shortly afterward deciding it wasn't for him, making a face.

Kaiser drinks about two litres of water in about 20 seconds.

"B-bitter...how d-do you d-drink this?"

"Yeah. Besides, time here appears to be near stopped, as opposed to it being accelerated like it was for me. 900 years in under a minute..."

"Overhydration is your enemy too. How do you fight Ashfake if you really really need to pee? She will hardly give you a toilette break."
