As Icarus fires, actually making the shot on purpose in a way that Ashfake only needs to slightly tilt her head to the sight to stylishly dodge it, playing to Aracelis arrogance, Bartimaeus transforms into something defensive, and insults Ashfake with something only a void thing would really understand. Meanwhile, Alucard opens the portal from *under the floor* Ashfake stands on and directly in front of Hilda, who lets loose the truely gigantic blast of energy, not really careing much about a bit of concrete being in the way of the shot

Hilda fires through the portals, catching Araceli by surprise! [16] vs [12-5], dealing [21] vs [5] dealing 16 damage!

Combat has now begun, as she falls through the portal below her feet!

During the Amazeroth fights, 1s happened all the time, but I never just let them be 1s when something important was happening. We commited 5 characters into creating a diversion and an attack that should be considered an opportune time to just skip a roll (I mean, Hilda is firing into a portal right in front of her, she is not even aiming)(of course that trick would not work twice), putting a lot of thought and effort into this, and all you give us is a (lol, seriously?) -5 on aracelis I assume 40 speed, and laughing about how fun the 1 is? Maximum unfun

I guess I was ninjad on that.

Icarus spends 4 mana to increase her skill by 50% (+8), fires up her jetboots and jets straight at Ashfake, blade aimed forward like a lance!

Stella flies over and slaps Ashfake with her tail.
