 "Chicken and dumpling soup," she says, still frowning. She sets down her frying pain.

Dalia bursts out into laughter from seeing Bartimaeus get smacked around. "Honestly I'd eat anything right now, when will it be ready? Soon I hope..."

Bartimaeus flies across the room dramatically, landing against the wall as wind cyclones around Hilda like in those animes.

"Perfect. Do you need any help?" she finally asks when she finishes laughting again.

Bartimaeus makes no attempt to return.

"Okay." Dalia stands up and gets her equipment in order before chopping up the carrots as requested.

"It's not that difficult. I learned how to do it after all."

Hilda puts the carrots in and resumes cooking. Eventually she finishes and sets out the food to eat.

It is fucking delicious.
