As albretch is tossing the chunk of rune into a bin, he hears a sound similar to wood being stacked. As he turns around the missing rune and wall have been reconstructed. The chunk he tossed into a bin is gone.

((Obviously, the solution is to rip off the rune and weld something to it's former position so that once it resets, it overlaps the replacement and causes nuclear fusion. Or, it destroys the replacement in which case he could start auctioning off that as some sort of hazardous waste disposal method
